A wonderful day celebrating’world knit in public day’ was had last Sunday here at St.Lukes🧶
Staff, family & friends joined our residents in a fun filled few hours, knitting and chatting with a record 73 years since one lady had knit.
It was brilliant to see staff stop for even 10 minutes to do a few rows (especially when they were sure they had forgotten how to knit).
Showcasing again how amazing this wonderfull craft really is.

Today, on World Elder Abuse Awareness Day, we took time to reflect on the importance of protecting, respecting, and supporting older people in our community. Residents enjoyed an informative talk in the conservatory led by social worker Eugene Browne and our in-house Safeguarding Officer, who highlighted the importance of recognising, preventing, and responding to elder abuse. Thank you to everyone who attended and contributed to this important discussion, helping to promote dignity, safety, and wellbeing for all older adults. 💜
