How does your body react when you get nervous?

Our body & mind react in many different ways to nerves.

Do you know how your nerves show up?

These are some of the examples my clients say happens to them;

- my voice sounds croaky
- my legs start shaking
- I fidget with jewellery
- my palms are sweaty

It is how you deal with nerves is important and that is where I can help.

In my Brave Speaker programme, I provide proven techniques in how to deal with nerves which are lifelong practical tools that you can use everyday.

DM me and lets have a chat about how I can help you deal with nerves when speaking in front of others.

About Me Series - Part 4

This photo was taken recently for my upcoming new website.

Anna Groniecka and I chatted during the photo shoot, about what would be a prop that reflects my personality or my favourite place.

For me it is simplicity, a cup of tea at my kitchen table!

This is where you would find me quietly reading & drinking a cup of tea in the morning, most definitely on a Sunday morning (not as glam as in the photo).

I like the simple moments in a day and enjoy tea!

What would your simple moment be in your day?

Part 3 in the series About Me -

Last week my son brought me this rose from our garden, he had found it cracked and his words were 'you love roses so here you go'!

Roses are my favourite flower, growing up my mother loved gardening and had several rose bushes in her garden, which is where my love of roses came from.

Being in nature is where most of my creative ideas come from, sometimes it is a daily walk or sitting in my garden listening to the sounds around me or standing outside watching the stars or the moon.

Life can be busy but when you take a moment in nature or the outdoors it brings calmness and grounding!

Quote from 'The Perfect Rose' poem:

I knew the language of the floweret;
'My fragile leaves' it said, 'his heart enclose'
Love long has taken for his amulet
One perfect rose.

Part 2 in our About Me Series!

In 2014 I trained as a Mini Me Yoga Ambassador now known as a Mini Me Mentor and have enjoyed sharing their trainings for a number of years.

Over the past 12 years I have delivered Mini Me trainings in Yoga, Explorer, Meditation and Mindfulness to hundreds of children, teachers, Snas, parents & grandparents in many parts of Ireland.

In 2021, I completed my 200hour Yoga teacher training in Ashtanga Yoga with Himalaya Yoga Valley.

This training sealed my love of yoga and how it can benefit people.

Yoga is for all and through my work delivering yoga techniques as part of my tailour-made programmes for clients, I see it come to fruition on a daily basis.

April & May - months to remember!

I may have been quiet on platforms the past while but that is because I have been soaking in so many moments in the last 2 months that have been happening.

From my students exams, to end of term recitals, to awards co-ordinator of the Network Ireland West Cork branch awards and participating in the short movie for the awards, to training as a lego serious play facilitator.

In mid April students took their exams, followed by our end of term recitals in May. The recitals were a moment of back to basics, just a microphone & the outdoors.

The following week was Network Ireland West Cork Businesswoman of the year awards and what a fantastic evening we had in Dunmore House Hotel.

Having been a branch winner in 2024 to this year seeing the process from a different point of view was really special.

So many dedicated, passionate and resilient women who strive to move forward everyday in both their work or business & personal lives with such amazing stories.

Congratulations to all the branch finalists.
Congratulations to the branch winners and I can't wait to celebrate with at the national awards in Galway in September.

The making of our short movie for the awards was such a fun project to be involved with, I will share more details soon but let's just say we had alot of laughs in the making of it.

For me seeing clients succeed with confidence is the gold and to be part of someone's journey whether that is as a facilitator, supporter, mentor or trainer it fills my heart everyday I get to do it.

What felt like 2 days of playing with lego was actually 2 days of intense training as a LEGO® Serious Play®Facilitator.

We learnt by creating, discussing, devising and presenting our creations both individually and as a group. Time seemed to go so quickly as we were immersed in our builds.

The builds spoke the truth not what we thought we should say.

I am always a believer that you learn by experiencing and LSP certainly creates the opportunity.

I look forward to bringing it into my team communications programme and to my clients.

If you are in a role where you feel your team could benefit from planning or discussing new projects through LSP or you are looking to improve your team's communications DM me for more information.

Wonderful event this evening organised by 'Own the Spotlight'. As the moderator of the fireside chat with panelists , I learnt so much from their stories and insights.

Thank you for a great event and what a fantastic venue .

92% of new year resolutions fall through.

What if instead of making new years resolutions we changed our thoughts around our goals/resolutions?

I don't make new years resolutions instead I focus on what I already have at the beginning of each year and am grateful for what I have achieved rather than fixating on what I have not achieved.

Being grateful is a powerful tool, it boosts your mood, changes your thought patterns and helps you achieve your goals easier.

In my opinion what adds to achieving your goals is a little laughter and positivity.

I am sharing these recent photos from the Network Ireland West Cork Christmas party as a reminder that while we may be serious about our work, it is just as important to laugh and smile along the way. Smiling is infectious and you never know who's day you might brighten.

Let 2026 be the year of new beginnings whether that is in the form of gratitude, laughter, progress, support, little wins or simply making someone smile.

I’m delighted to be stepping into the role of Vice President of the Network Ireland West Cork branch for 2026, supporting the wonderful Anna Groniecka in her presidency.

As a communications trainer, I strongly believe that connection and communication are at the heart of everything we do.

Mentoring people to shine and grow in confidence — professionally and personally — is one of the greatest joys of my work.

For me, networking is about building meaningful connections and supporting one another along the way whilst being your authentic self throughout.

If you’re like I was for many years, curious to join a networking group but never quite taking the leap — I would encourage you to just do it in 2026 especially for anyone at the start of their professional journey, we all need support from time to time.

A huge thank you to Anna Healy for the gentle nudge to join the committee a few years back, and for encouraging me to put myself forward as Vice President designate last year. I’m so grateful.

There are exciting things ahead for Network Ireland West Cork, and we look forward to welcoming you with a warm smile and support at any of the events in 2026!
