We meet amazing people everyday who choose to go the extra mile to thank the staff for the incredible care they show everyday to those most in need. Thank you to everyone who has fundraised for us for the first time or annually and thank you to everyone who has supported them.

- We were presented cheques by The Courtmacsherry Development Association who support our Paediatric Cystic Fibrosis services, each year with their annual swim 🏊

- The staff of Dunmanway Day Unit were visited by Gillian, on behalf of Mallow GAA. They hosted a charity friendly match amongst their clubs to support those o their cancer journeys. 🏐

- Kilmichael GAA Club hosted their club's Lip Sync Battle. With 'Two and a half Men' winning the night and choosing to support life-saving services in CUH. 🎤

- Eadaoin Shine and family present their cheque to staff of Haematology. Eadaoin and friends took on the challenge of abseiling Thomond Park to thank staff for the care Eadaoin received. 🧗

42.195 KM. One incredible goal! 🏃🏃‍♀️

We want to wish all of our runners the BEST OF LUCK in this year's Cork City Marathon. This year we have 70 registered runners taking part across the 10KM, Half & Full. They are running to say a massive 'thank you' to the exceptional staff at CUH/CUMH for the care of our patients in Cancer Services, Children's Services, Renal, ICU and across every single department.

Every stride they take today is a tribute to care, recovery and hope. Our collective goal today is to match the marathon pace and hit a total target of €42,195 - one euro for every metre of the course. And we are SO CLOSE!

For patients and families going through end-of-life services, we can offer privacy, comfort and dignity for those precious final moments.

When they need it most, the Comfort Care Suite can give them privacy and space away from the busy environment of the hospital. This is a homely sanctuary where healthcare professionals can continue to care for the patient and their loved ones. The patient’s room now has an adjoining private family room with overnight accommodation and a kitchenette, allowing families the best alternative to their own home.

CUH Charity is working to give families every opportunity to be together during end of life care. We hope to create as many of these family rooms as possible, and thankfully we are supported by amazing campaigns like the Dr Con Murphy Charity Golf Classic.
