Welcome Amanda Walsh to Hub Cork

My name is Amanda Walsh, and I’m an integrative Counsellor and Psychotherapist based at the Therapy Hub in Glanmire, Cork.

I offer both in-person and secure online sessions. I’m a member of the Irish Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (IACP), which promotes and upholds the highest professional and ethical standards in practice.

Life can sometimes feel overwhelmingly heavy. It may be a worry that won’t switch off, sadness that lingers, painful memories that become intrusive or a sense that you’ve lost your way. These struggles can leave you feeling stuck and can deeply affect how you see yourself, your relationships, and the world around you. Reaching out for support takes courage, and you don’t have to do it alone. I offer therapy both in-person and online, providing the same warmth, care, and depth of support — whether you prefer the connection of face-to-face sessions or the flexibility of meeting online.

Each counselling and psychotherapy session is 60 minutes in duration, giving us time to explore what’s on your mind in a supportive, non-judgmental space.

I offer therapy for a wide range of challenges and life experiences, such as:

Do you want to foam roll in a correct ,safe manner??

Check out Ger's Foam Rolling Workshop on Thursday 6th February

Foam Rolling is a type of self-myofascial release (or self-massage) that eases muscle tension. Painful trigger points or “knots” lead to muscle tension and dysfunction in the body. Often stretching alone is not enough to alleviate the pain, and frequent deep tissue massage may not be practical. Foam rolling allows the practitioner to use his/her own body weight to apply pressure to the knots to facilitate relaxation. This self-care technique can be practiced anytime, at the gym, pitch or at home. 

🗂 In this 1-hour workshop, participants will: 

Learn safe and effective techniques to roll away tension in the body

Learn how to use the foam roller for deeper stretches

Gain a better understanding of the anatomy and function of the muscles and insights into the possible causes of pain.

➡️ Benefits of self-myofascial include: 

Relaxing the nervous system

Decreasing muscle tension

Improving circulation

Increasing flexibility and range of motion

Enhancing respiratory function

Improving muscle function

Reducing muscle soreness
