๐ŸŽ™ We teach you about yoga.

Our studio is a community focused yoga space where people can come to learn, connect, explore and experience the many benefits Yoga has to offer. We host weekly classes, workshops, student and teacher trainings and experiences. We also have a small shop and a library. The kettle is always on and there is always a smile to welcome you at the door! Unlike other studios we are run and operated by the

teachers. This allows for the student to be at the forefront of the experience, for each teacher to earn a decent wage from sharing their gifts and for the profits to be fairly distributed. Yoga means union, to come together, and so we feel this is the way most in keeping with the yogic philosophy and ethos. Many places teach yoga classes. Hence the word School in the name. If you want to do yoga, come join us. If you want to learn about yoga, come join us. If you want to do both, come join us! We go to great lengths to ensure the energy is protected and nurtured. It is a living space after all. Filled with air purifying plants, featuring a beautiful alter and burning only 100% natural incense you can breathe deep, and breathe clean. The space is cleaned physically and energetically on a regular basis. The energy in the studio has to be experienced to be believed. Fully stocked with an abundance of props we will have you fully supported and sinking into relaxation. The studio was founded by Jeanie Jyanti and the name originated from her understanding of the yoga practice as a holistic and magical process to transform your entire being. As a Chemist by academic training the word Alchemy just made sense. Environmental Statement:
To have the minimum, negative impact possible on the environment in all that we do
To inspire and educate all that visit the space to have the minimum, negative impact on the environment. How?:
โ€“ All utilities are supplied by 100% renewable sources.
โ€“ The walls are painted with 0% VOC vegetable-based paints, (almost!) safe enough to eat.
โ€“ We use only bamboo toilet roll โ€“ it even comes in biodegradable wrapping!
โ€“ There are ZERO single-use plastics in the studio
โ€“ We use packaging free soap
โ€“ The props are washed in biodegradable, eco-friendly detergents.
โ€“ The mats are cleaned with lemon oil, a natural disinfectant. Our Mission Statement:
Create a safe and open space to encourage self exploration
To provide affordable, authentic and quality yoga classes for a range of demographics
To educate and inspire people on yoga
To build a supportive, inclusive and inspiring community through all that we do
Create a place for the yoga community of Cork to use so they can continue to share their gifts

๐Ÿง˜๐Ÿฝโ€โ™€๏ธ 5 things that are missing from most Yoga Classes ๐Ÿ•‰

โœจ๏ธ 1) Yogic Anatomy

This is what makes Yoga Yoga! This is the magic of sequencing using the Pranas, the Koshas, including mudra, mantra, chanting, all the energetic anatomy that is so often discarded. Check out my Pranayama + Yogic Anatomy YTT in .ie in Aug 2026

๐Ÿ‘Œ๐Ÿผ 2) Simplicity

Our lives are complicated enough. Why are our Yoga classes jam packed with โ€œnew and unusual sequencesโ€? What if we showed up, connected, moved, took some breaths and rested? What if Yoga was enough and we didn't need to add lots of things on top?

๐Ÿชท 3) Spirituality

This is not for everyone, but it is part of Yoga. We donโ€™t get to decide when to included it or not. This is the origin of the practice. You don't have to mention God or make the whole class a philosophical deep dive, but letโ€™s remember to connect to something bigger than us and invite our students to do the same. They can join in or not.But we still offer.

๐Ÿซ‚ 4) Diversity

Look around your class. Does everyone look the same? Are all the body shapes similar? Have you varying abilities? This is often due to how we market Yoga. If all you do is share pictures of a particular body type, rest assured you are sending a message that they are the only ones welcome.

๐Ÿง‘๐Ÿพโ€๐Ÿฆผ 5) Accessibility

Is the class accessible to all? This is way too vast a topic to go into now! I can recommend checking out Accessible Yoga School for amazing resources on this. But consider what you can do now to make your offerings more accessible, physically, financially, academically, emotionally. is coming to Dublin in Sept to run a 40hr Accessible Yoga YTT and I can not recommend it enough!

๐Ÿค” What do you think is missing from most Yoga Classes?

๐Ÿ“ฟ Lessons I'm learning as a teacher of teachers.

๐Ÿชท 1) Understanding something as a concept vs feeling it in the body is different. You can't teach from a book. You have to experience it. And then knowing how to share that with others is a whole other ball game. I focus on the latter.

๐Ÿซ‚ 2) Community is everything.
Being in a room with other yoga teachers will teach you far more than any book or Guru can. Have you ever felt the synchronised breath and energy of a group of humans with a common goal? Bliss!

โœจ๏ธ 3) The training doesnโ€™t end at Graduation
Often, once a training ends, the student is left with more questions than they started with, especially as they integrate the new lessons. I ensure there is ample follow on support, not just from me but over 150 otehr graduates. We all support each other.

โš–๏ธ 4) It's stark the variations I see in what training people recieved. Not everyone got the same standard of training. One 200hr does not equal another. They all have such a different focus. Find one that encompasses Yoga not just Asana (postures).

๐Ÿคท๐Ÿฝโ€โ™€๏ธ 5) I don't have all the answers. There are things I don't know. But what I do know from 12 years of full time teaching, over 1500hrs of Training and 6 years of teaching teachers is that I f*cking love what I do and I'm really good at it! And I want to share my passion with you.
