Letterkenny Hospital is in the process of building a comprehensive medical education and research facility in partnership with the Medical School at the National University of Ireland, Galway. The Donegal Clinical Academy Trust has been established to oversee the development of this €4 million facility, which will be developed on the grounds of Letterkenny Hospital. €2 million of the cost of this
facility is being provided by NUI, Galway for a 600-square metre educational space. However, the Trust has a vision to deliver on an auditorium with additional educational research capacity. The Trust has commenced fundraising for the remaining €2 million which is required to complete this state-of-the-art facility adjoining Letterkenny Hospital and serving the population of Donegal.
