This reflects a conversation I had with somebody yesterday evening. The answer no is as important as yes. Learning to receive is as important as giving.
Its all about balance and setting our boundaries which becomes more critical as you rear your young family, transition into menopause as a woman etc....

Love how the recipes are attached too.
One of the takeaway points from a lecture I attended on longevity from a TCM point of view was learning how to be hungry again is important too.

From a Traditional Chinese Medicine perspective, this research is not particularly surprising. TCM has never viewed the uterus as an isolated reproductive organ. Instead, it is understood to be intimately connected with the Kidneys, Heart, Liver, Chong Mai, and Ren Mai—systems that influence not only menstruation and fertility, but also memory, cognition, emotions, and overall vitality.
While this study suggests the uterus may play a role in cognitive function, Chinese medicine has long recognised a relationship between reproductive health and mental wellbeing through interconnected networks.
These principles have guided the treatment of menstrual disorders, fertility concerns, postpartum recovery, and menopause-related brain fog for centuries.

Important fact.

Let’s clear this up because vaginal estrogen is so misunderstood. When we use low-dose vaginal estrogen, we are not trying to raise estrogen levels throughout the whole body. We are treating the tissue locally.

That means it can help with things like vaginal dryness, pain with s*x, urinary urgency, and recurrent UTIs without acting like systemic hormone therapy. And this is why I talk about it so often. Because women are suffering with symptoms they were told were “just part of aging,” when we actually have safe, effective options.

Check out jointhecollaborative.com and get matched with a Collaborative clinician who can walk you through your symptoms and your options.

The reality of ovarian cancer 🩷
Unlike breast or cervical cancer, there is currently no reliable screening test for ovarian cancer. There is no equivalent of a mammogram or Pap smear to detect it early.
📊 When diagnosed at Stage 1, the 5-year survival rate is approximately 92%.
📊 When diagnosed at Stage 3 or 4, the 5-year survival rate falls to less than 30%.
The difference between these numbers can be awareness. Knowing the signs, listening to your body, and seeking medical advice when something doesn't feel right could make all the difference.🩷
