What exactly is carrot oil?
Everyone probably know what a carrot root is and when eaten it is probably hard to distinguish any oleic substances. That is all true. Carrot oil is a macerate of carrot root in pure, cold pressed, cosmetic sunflower oil. All active substances that are present in carrot are present in this oil. The oil in this case works as a natural preservative – it prevents oxidation, and as an enhancer – it contains valuable fatty acids, linoleic for example (63%). What is also important is that sunflower oil is very light in its consistency and will not create blackheads.
