Holding Calm Space

Holding Calm Space Information and resources for supporting children, teens and adults who care for others with their mental health. I have worked in mental health for many years.

My focus is on mindfulness, meditation and the present moment. Classes, written material and downloads available. I am passionate about supporting parents and educators to support their young people. This page is a work in progress, and I hope to have a website up and running soon with more information and resources. I found mindfulness and meditation to be increasingly more important to

me in my own work, but also in my own family life. Heart centred, compassionate mindfulness with our children is a beautiful way to make a connection with your child or student. The benefits extend out to improving concentration, attention, sleep, reducing big emotions and building connections in the developing brain. Individual and group mindfulness and meditation activities are a lovely and beneficial way to be in the present moment. I work with children and teenagers in a fun, enjoyable way which has the added benefit of giving them the life skill of self-regulating. I also work with parents, educators and teachers so they can use these skiils with their own young people - holding calm space for their young person until the young person can hold their own (with the added benefit of soaking it in ourselves on the way!). Please contact me for further information or to ask a question.
