For a small rural club on the Kildare–West Wicklow border, this is a huge milestone.
Every week, young athletes aged 6–18 from Kilcullen, Ballitore, Baltinglass, Dunlavin, Hollywood, Ballymore and surrounding areas come together to train, compete, make friends and grow.

Now we want to give them even more.

The heat is trying to pick up and fresh soft fruits are in season so now is a great time to experiment with this one!
Frozen berries can easily be used too!

Grab a load of mixed berries. 4-5 Tbsp of greek yogurt, squeeze of honey!

Blitz until smooth and freeze for about an hour or until its semi frozen or hard enough to scoop..

It can be so easy and tempting to go hell for leather on a new challenge/goal/project.
But what tends to happen is you may reach the finish line, but the journey along the way is a complete blur.
This means you have afforded yourself no opportunity to take heed of mistakes made and learn from them along the way.
When it comes to diets, a lot of people throw themselves into a highly restrictive or rigid method that may yield the end goal, but with no learnings obtained throughout.
This means when the goal is achieved, the chances of rebound are higher and you’re back to square one.
If you decide to change your nutritional lifestyle its always worth assessing where you currently are at now and where you want to be. From here you can take steps and set process orientated goals in order to achieve your end outcome goal. The learnings along the way will stand to you a lot more than 8 weeks of an extremely restrictive diet that’s most likely torture for you.
Where do we start?
For example: If you currently eat 80grams of protein a day but are looking to increase to 160grams a day, set yourself a reasonable target every day to start and slowly increase it every week until you reach 160g.
Be realistic, set realistic and attainable goals!

Soup is a Jack of all trades!

It can nourish you by packing in lots and lots of different veggies whist at the same time hiding some of the less palatable ones (espisally for the kids)

It can warm the cockles of your heart on a winters day

And it can also hydrate you.

Am I strange for loving soup even in Summer??!
