Your healing is not just about your gut.
It’s not just about your hormones either.

We are a whole person.

And in the work that I do, yes, I talk a lot about gut health, hormones, food, movement… but your mind plays such a huge part too.

What you focus on matters.

If you constantly focus on the problems, the pain, what is going wrong… that affects how you feel, how you move, how you perform, everything.

And sometimes all it takes is just to notice:

Okay. This thought is not serving me.

And shift your focus.

This morning I was going to the gym and I was greeted by this gentleman in a tuxedo.

Four legs. 😂 A cat.

And you know me. I LOVE cats.

I had to stop.

Honestly, it brought so much joy to my heart. The rain was still there, nothing around me changed, but I changed.

My whole state shifted.

I had an absolutely f***ing amazing workout, and once I got back to the clinic, so many other small but powerful things started happening too — all in the morning.

And it just reminded me:

Sometimes you don’t need to change the whole world around you.

You just need to change what you are focusing on.

Find something good today. Something that makes you smile.

And see what happens. 💜

The warning light has been flashing for months.
But you keep turning up the music.

Another coffee.
Another supplement.
Another promise that you’ll rest when life becomes quieter.

This isn’t really about a car.
It’s about the busy woman who wakes up tired, pushes through brain fog and keeps telling herself:
“I just need to try harder.”

Everyone sees how much she achieves.
Few people see how much it now costs her.
Her sleep is broken.
Her energy crashes halfway through the day.
Her patience is disappearing.

Her body is changing—even though she hasn’t stopped exercising or caring about her health.

So she works harder.
She cuts more food.
She adds another workout.
She covers the warning light and keeps driving.
But warning lights don’t appear to criticise you.

They appear to tell you that something needs attention.

Perimenopause can affect sleep, mood, memory and energy—but hormones may not be the only part of the picture.
Blood sugar, thyroid health, nutrient status, gut health, stress and recovery may also need to be explored.

You don’t need to keep driving until your body forces you to stop.

Don’t silence the warning light.
Find out why it came on.
Stop guessing. Start testing.

If you’re ready to understand what your body has been trying to tell you, message me TEST and let’s explore how we can work together.

You built your career by learning how to push through.

Tired? Push through.
Deadline? Push through.
Stressful week? Push through.

And for years, your body probably let you get away with it.

Then perimenopause arrives and suddenly the same strategy doesn't work.

Think of your body like a phone battery.

You used to charge to 100% overnight.

Now you wake up at 60%… and still expect yourself to run 25 apps all day.

The answer isn't always to push harder.

Sometimes we need to find out what is draining the battery in the first place.

Hormones? Sleep? Blood sugar? Nutrient status? Stress? Gut health? Something else?

Test. Don't guess.

Because two women can feel exactly the same on the outside and have very different things happening underneath.

At 35, you could have a stressful week, sleep a little less, grab a coffee, skip a meal, push through your workout… and somehow your body bounced back.

You could run the meetings, hit the deadlines, look after everyone else and still keep going.

Then you hit your 40s and suddenly the same lifestyle feels completely different.

You wake up tired.
Your recovery takes longer.
Your brain feels foggy.

That afternoon crash starts arriving earlier and earlier.

And you start wondering:
“What happened to me? I used to be able to handle all of this.”

You haven't suddenly become less capable.
Your internal operating system is changing.

Oestrogen and progesterone aren't only reproductive hormones.
They communicate with systems involved in your brain, sleep, insulin signalling, energy metabolism and inflammation.

So as these hormones begin to fluctuate through perimenopause, the same workload, the same diet and the same way of pushing yourself may not feel the same anymore.

And this is where so many high-achieving women make a mistake.
They push harder.
More coffee.
Less food.
More exercise.
More discipline.

But if you're exhausted, I don't want you to simply push through it.
I want to know WHY.
Is it your hormones?
Your blood sugar?
Nutrient status?
Sleep?
Stress?
Or something else entirely?

Because exhaustion is a symptom. It doesn't tell us the root cause.

Maybe you don't need to work harder at fixing your body.
Maybe you need a new strategy.

Stop guessing. Start testing.

If you're a busy career woman in your 40s and you're tired of feeling like something has changed but you don't know what, book a Clarity Call with me and let's talk about what may be worth investigating.
