Our time as the Executive Board for the term 2025/2026 has come to an end. This past year has been truly unforgettable — full of challenges, hard work, and so many happy moments together. //EDSA at the European Parliament and Commission in Brussels

In July 2026, EDSA joined its partner associations in Brussels as part of EHSAA — the European Healthcare Students' Associations Alliance, bringing together EDSA, EMSA, EPSA and EFPSA on behalf of over 255,000 health students across Europe.

The delegation presented EHSAA's joint statement on the revision of the EU To***co Products and Advertising Directives to key decision-makers, including MEP Tilly Metz and the cabinet of European Health Commissioner Olivér Várhelyi. Ahead of these meetings, EDSA also attended the Health EU Summit on the future of European health policy, gaining valuable insights into the priorities shaping the field.

The statement calls for the regulation of all ni****ne products, a ban on flavours and youth-targeted marketing, plain packaging, and the implementation of WHO FCTC Article 5.3 — underlining that to***co is also an oral health issue.

EDSA was represented by Policy Officer Anna Fedorova, alongside representatives of our EHSAA partner associations. We thank all those who took the time to meet with us and look forward to continuing this important dialogue.
