As we enter the final phase of the Roma Influencers Network project, together with our partners, NGO, Cesis - Centro de Estudos para a Intervenção Social, COOPERACTIVA & Sastipen - Centrul Romilor pentru Politici de Sanatate, we came together yesterday for our final,12th Transnational Meeting.

We reviewed progress on the remaining activities, agreed on the key steps ahead, and focused on ensuring a strong and successful completion of the project.

The meeting also brought some wonderful news: we learned that our transnational documentary, “Breaking the Circle of Early Marriages and Early Motherhood in Roma Communities,” has been selected for another festival, the official competition of the International Film Festival ( IFF) in Romania. Yet another important recognition for the film and the Roma women whose voices on early marriage and motherhood are at its heart.

We are ready for a final push together after an important journey of cross-country collaboration.

We’re delighted to share more international recognition for the Influencers Network documentaries on early marriage and early motherhood, developed by Project partners Κλίμακα ΜΚΟ (Klimaka NGO), Cairde, Sastipen - Centrul Romilor pentru Politici de Sanatate, COOPERACTIVA and Cesis - Centro de Estudos para a Intervenção Social.

The transnational documentary "Breaking the Cycle of Early Marriages and Early Motherhood in Roma Communities" has been selected for screening at the Chania Film Festival, Crete, Greece (along with the Greek short documentary “Name: Ourania"), and the Ake Dikhea? International Romani Film Festival in Berlin, Germany.

Three short documentaries from Greece — "Name: Melpo", "Name: Nicoleta" and "Name: Ourania" — are also award nominees at the Rroma Film Festival in Brașov, Romania, while "Name: Melpo" received an Honorable Mention at the Karditsa International Short Film Festival, Greece.

These selections help bring the voices, experiences and perspectives of Roma women to wider audiences across Europe, while raising awareness of the impact of early marriage and early motherhood.

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who joined our recent Migrant & Ethnic Minority Mental Health Engagement Meet-Up on the 18th of June at Cairde and shared their insights, experiences, and voices.

A special thank you to Rawan Alzawadi for facilitating the workshop on Self-Advocacy in Mental Health Recovery and to all participants for their contributions.

The session provided a valuable opportunity to connect, share experiences, and explore the role of self-advocacy in mental health recovery.

The discussions also highlighted key recommendations for improving mental health services for migrant and ethnic minority communities, reinforcing the importance of lived experience in shaping more inclusive and culturally responsive care.

We have some exciting news ahead our event tomorrow! The documentary Breaking the Cycle of Early Marriage and Early Motherhood in Roma Communities, produced with our partners Klimaka, Cesis - Centro de Estudos para a Intervenção Social, COOPERACTIVA and Sastipen - Centrul Romilor pentru Politici de Sanatate through the Roma Influencers Network Project, has been selected as an official award nominee at the International Film Festival of New York – Follow Your Heart!

Tomorrow, you'll have the opportunity to watch this internationally recognised documentary at our special screening in Dublin. In the meantime, you can watch the trailer below.

Through powerful stories from Roma girls and women in Ireland, Greece, Portugal and Romania, the film explores the realities of early marriage and early motherhood, while highlighting resilience, aspirations and the importance of creating opportunities for change.

Following the screening, guests are invited to visit our photo exhibition and learn more about the National and International Reports developed as part of the project.

Through personal stories and lived experiences, the film explores the realities, challenges and aspirations of Roma women across Europe.

Following the screening, guests are invited to view a special photo exhibition and learn more about the findings of the National and International Reports developed through the Roma Influencers Project.
