IWA Kenagh members Pat, Jess, Shane, Bernard and Monica were delighted to attend the boccia tournament in Mucklagh Community Centre on Monday 24th August. They had a fantastic day meeting and playing boccia with others, and they were thrilled to win the Goretti Egan cup on the day. 🎉

Everyone at IWA Kenagh would like to say a big thanks to Richard for the invitation and to Gareth for taking pictures. Our members are already looking forward to next year's competition.

"If the bus didn’t exist, I’d be at a loss. I wouldn’t know where to go or what to do."

John loves early mornings and getting outside. He was a milkman in Kildare for many years, and the old habits have stayed with him. These days, John looks forward to visiting Irish Wheelchair Association's centre in Clane, where he is a member.

John is able to get to the centre thanks to IWA's fleet of accessible buses. A few years ago, a supporter in Kildare generously left a donation to IWA in their Will, which enabled us to upgrade our buses and continue to provide a vital service for members like John.

Legacies like these leave a lasting impact. September is – if you’re able to do so, please consider leaving a donation to IWA in your Will. Find out more by ordering your free Gift in Will Brochure at the link in the comments. 💬

Our school leavers in Carrick-on-Shannon have been keeping busy with some brilliant days out recently! They had a fantastic time learning about history at Moate Heritage Park, and they also had the chance to visit the historic site that is Boyle Abbey.

Two fantastic and educational trips! 🏰
