For anyone who loves crystals, or perhaps you’re just beginning to explore working with them, I made a little video of how I prepare mine 💎
Recently, I received a large number of crystals for my upcoming angelic crystal course, and there was quite a bit of preparation involved!
First, I didn’t get to mention this in the video when I played some in a container of salt water and then I like to place them outside on the land, allowing them time to connect with the natural energies of the earth and moon. You can leave them out for a night or two, ideally around the Full Moon, or longer if you wish. I left these particular crystals outside for a couple of weeks.
Of course, not everyone has a garden, so a windowsill or even a potted plant near a window where they can receive the moonlight is another option.
Next comes the washing! Depending on the crystals, I place them into a container, my preference would be ceramic or glass. Because I had so many, I ended up using the bath, but you certainly don’t need to go that far! 😊
For crystals that are suitable for water and salt, I use warm, not hot, water and plenty of sea salt, leaving them overnight. This is an important part of how I cleanse my crystals before working with them.
After a gentle rinse, I bring them into my healing room and arrange them into a crystal grid, setting my intentions before they’re packaged up and sent off to their new homes.
Now, you certainly don’t need to create a crystal grid yourself. Simply holding your crystals, taking a little time to connect with them and setting an intention for what you would like to work with them for is a lovely way to begin.
There are lots of different ways to prepare and work with crystals. This is just the way I do it, and I’d encourage you to find what works for you.
Just be mindful that not all crystals are suitable for water, sea salt or direct sunlight, so always check beforehand.
I’d love to hear how you prepare your own crystals, or if you’re new to working with them. ✨
