In association with the Arts Office, Waterford City & County Council, The Waxed Lemon would like to invite submissions for Issue 11.

This submission window is open until May 30th 2026.

Submissions are invited in poetry, flash fiction and short story. Gaeilge agus Fáilte. Irish language encouraged.

You are invited to send up to 3 poems, one piece of flash fiction or one short story for consideration.
Please submit to one of these categories only.

Pilot Payment Scheme

The Waxed Lemon is introducing a payment scheme for Issue 11.

Contributors will receive €50 per poem, €50 per flash fiction piece, and €100 per short story published.

This is a pilot payment scheme. We are grateful to the The Arts Office, Waterford City & County Council for their support of this scheme.

All contributors will receive a complimentary copy of the issue in which they are published.

Hi everyone

I would love to invite everyone to a free evening of mindfulness & meditation to celebrate the launch of my book Mindfully Healing.

Date 27th May from 7-8.30pm.

As you know, space for meditation is limited so booking is essential. 🤗

All book purchases receive a free one to one online meditation session with myself and a shamanic drumming link.
