Jing Jie (Schizonepeta / 荆芥)

Pu Gong Ying (Dandelion / 蒲公英)
Traditionally used for “Heat toxin” conditions — red, inflamed, swollen, infected-looking skin. Modern studies suggest anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial activity. In creams, it is usually included for angry, red, irritated lesions.
Huo Xue Teng (Ji Xue Teng Spatholobus stem)
A blood-moving herb commonly added in psoriasis formulas because psoriasis in TCM is often linked with “Blood stasis” — thickened, stubborn plaques and chronic discoloration.
