In 2016 I enrolled onto what is widely regarded as the most prestigious and respected Nutrition Certification in the World Uni
Stupidly (looking back) at the time I enrolled, Iβd also WELL and TRULY thrown myself into many other challenges, setting up a business, training for an Ironman π€¦ββοΈπ and the list went on and onβ¦.
Whilst Iβm so proud and grateful at how far Iβve come as a person (and the business since) the amazing people I get to work with and representing my country as a Nutritionist in working with Team England & GB, this work also has its challenges, too.
I never try to portray that itβs all perfect.
The sacrifices you have to make running a business and the hours you have to put in are at times, absolutely insane and Iβd be lying if I was to say sometimes it didnβt absolutely frazzle my head!
At times things simply slip down the never ending βlistβ of priorities, even when you donβt mean for them to!
Passing this exam was one of them. I knew though, I had to complete it, to prove to myself I was capable of passing and getting the accreditation.
Over the xmas/new year period break when things calmed down, I took my first ever attempt at the exam. I knew it wouldnβt be easy trying to remember a course I did 6 years ago ππ
BUTβ¦
Iβm absolutely delighted to have received the news this week that I PASSED the exam and have now joined the register along with other Nutritionists, Scientists, Doctors, Dietitians & PTβs
Thank you so much to my coach for helping me keep this on my radar and holding me accountable throughout and for being so understanding, helpful, supportive and reminding me that I owed myself a crack at this exam.
My key take homes from this whole experience is not to try and chase perfection all the time and to instead be satisfied with taking imperfect action.
Simply because being okay with βcracking onβ whilst conditions arenβt βperfectβ will ALWAYS be better than waiting for absolutely perfect conditions that never come πβ€οΈ
