A video game keeps you playing because it constantly rewards your progress. When founder Dr. Dara Meldrum designed the Vertigenius™ platform, she actually utilized the interactive mechanics of a gaming platform to apply this exact engagement model to physical therapy.

Instead of focusing on their dizziness, patients focus on hitting their precise velocity targets and building their daily streaks. They receive the highly satisfying experience of tracking their progress, and you capture the undeniable clinical data required to guide their adaptation.

The scale of vestibular dysfunction in the US is staggering.

Right now, 35.4% of US adults aged 40 and older, that is 69 million Americans, experience some form of vestibular dysfunction.

With a patient population this large, traditional clinical models simply cannot keep up. Physical therapists are stretched thin, and patients often lack the continuous guidance needed to recover fully at home.

This is why scaling care through digital innovation is no longer optional.

By utilizing the Vertigenius™ remote patient monitoring platform, clinics can expand their capacity to treat this massive demographic without sacrificing the quality of care. Objective data and asynchronous monitoring allow clinicians to guide more patients to recovery, faster.

Physical therapists know the drill. You prescribe a targeted Vestibular rehab program, and the patient takes home a paper tracker.

But subjective diaries do not capture reality.

They cannot measure the necessary head speed (Hz) or amplitude to drive actual neuroplasticity. They only track if the patient thinks they did the exercise correctly.

True functional recovery requires precision.

Vertigenius™ replaces the guesswork of home exercise diaries with hard, objective kinematics.

Our wearable sensor delivers:
🌀 Real-time corrective feedback for patients
🌀 Exact compliance metrics for clinicians
🌀 Objective head movement tracking

Big news from the Vertigenius™ team!

We recently closed a €2.55M funding round to fuel our mission of transforming vestibular care across the United States.

While this funding is a massive milestone, what truly excites us is the impact this will have on the 390 million people worldwide suffering from balance disorders.

Why this matters:
👉 US Expansion: We are already active in 22 clinics across 13 states, and this investment allows us to scale that presence rapidly.
👉 Closing the Care Gap: Our wearable head sensor and remote monitoring platform are solving the "black hole" of home-based rehabilitation, giving clinicians real-time data and patients a better care experience.
👉 Commercial Growth: We have actively expanded our US commercial team to address the demand in a $3 billion market.

A huge thank you to Atlantic Bridge for leading the round, and to Enterprise Ireland, MedTech Syndicate, IRRUS Investments, Xcendra Ventures and Ascentifi for their incredible support.

To Mark Barry, Dr Dara Meldrum and the entire Vertigenius™ team - we are not just building a medical device, we are setting a new global standard for how balance disorders are treated.

Onward and upward!

The Science of Retinal Slip: Why Precision Dictates Recovery

In vestibular rehabilitation therapy (VRT), head movement is not just a component of the treatment - it is the treatment. For clinicians treating vestibular hypofunction, the goal is clear: induce adaptation of the Vestibulo-Ocular Reflex (VOR).

If head movement is too slow, no adaptation occurs. If it is too fast, the brain disengages. Patients must hit the exact middle zone where the brain detects the error and the VOR adapts.

The Problem: To a dizzy patient, slow movement feels fast. They naturally play it safe, stay below the therapeutic threshold and unknowingly delay their progress.

The Solution: Move from subjective estimation to objective precision. Vertigenius™ provides the data required to keep patients in the optimal recovery zone.

Recovery does not come from simply doing the exercises. It comes from doing them accurately.
