Great care is about more than experience. It is about kindness, patience, empathy and taking the time to really listen.

The small things matter too, remembering how someone likes their tea, noticing when they need a little extra reassurance or simply being there for a chat.

These are the qualities that help our carers build trust and make a meaningful difference every day. 💙

What does living with dementia really feel like?

As part of the Bluebird Care Dementia Roadshow, Marty Morrissey stepped into an immersive experience designed to offer a glimpse into some of the everyday challenges a person living with dementia may face.

His experience is a powerful reminder of why greater understanding, patience and empathy matter so much when supporting someone with dementia.

This World Alzheimer’s Month, we are continuing the conversation and helping to build a greater understanding of life with dementia. 💙

Behind every meaningful piece of music is a story, and the Bluebird Care anthem is no different. 💙

In this video, Samantha shares the personal connection behind how the anthem came to life and the story that inspired it.

It is a reminder that care is about so much more than the support we provide. It is about the relationships we build, the moments we share and the people who make Bluebird Care what it is.

A very special evening for Bluebird Care Ireland. 💙🎶

We were delighted to come together to celebrate the launch of our new anthem, As Bluebirds Fly, and to recognise the story, people and collaboration that brought it to life.

The song was created and produced by Paul Byrne of Tua Nua, inspired by a poem by Patrick Clifford, in association with the team at Bluebird Care Dublin South West.

It was a wonderful evening celebrating care, connection and community, and a proud moment for everyone involved in bringing this special piece of the Bluebird Care story to life.

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make the launch such a memorable occasion. Paul Byrne Music

September marks the beginning of World Alzheimer’s Month, a time to raise awareness, challenge stigma and recognise the importance of compassionate, person-centred dementia care.

At Bluebird Care, we’re committed to supporting people living with dementia to remain safe, comfortable and independent at home, while also being there for the families and loved ones supporting them.

As we begin the month, hear from our COO, Mark McInerney, as he reflects on his experience of the Dementia Roadshow and the importance of continuing to learn, listen and improve how we support people affected by dementia.

The Dementia Roadshow will be visiting a number of locations across Ireland this September, helping to bring greater awareness, practical support and meaningful conversations about dementia into local communities.

💙 Together, we can help create greater understanding and better support for everyone impacted by dementia.
