Today has been a good day. I so needed a day like this. Got some work done, blitzed the house, had a long shower and made a dinner I've been craving for weeks now 🍝
I think I always associated as my go-to "on plan" Slimming World meal and then got so bored of it that I sort of boycotted it for ages 🙈
Well every time I see it on someone's story or feed the last few weeks I can't stop thinking about it. So today I took the time to make a nice one. Oh it was simply gorgeous and completely syn free.
We all have our own way of making it but mine was red onion, garlic, carrots, two different type of peppers, lean mince and then for the sauce passata, worchester sauce, balsamic vinegar, a rich beef stock pot, dash of sweetner, oregano, garlic granules, black pepper and tomato puree.
A few weeks ago I had some fresh basil leftover and I froze it and it was great to be able to add that in today. I haaaate wasting food. I topped it with fresh (also frozen 🙈🍝) and you know when a meal just hits the spot?
Looking forward to fresh PJs and a night of writing ahead. I've a Freddo bar in the fridge to have with a cuppa later and I can't wait for it. Loving being on plan! 🎊
We spoke about this last night at group and I can honestly say in happy to food optimise forever. I'm so glad created something that meant that I could lose weight, keep it off and enjoy gorgeous meals too. Its really really helping me keep my pregnancy weight gain healthy too!
I'll always have holidays, off plan meals and times I wobble but it's always there for the taking and how amazing that even just after 24 hours back on plan you just feel 100% better in yourself 🌈
Today's food in it's entirety
- 3 pancakes with yoghurt, strawberries & banana (see my stories) & ☕
- a bagel with ham, cheese, tomato, pickles, spinach, light mayo & sweet chilli sauce.
- an apple & a Mandarin
- big portion of delicious spagetti bollognaise dusted with parmesan
- giant mug of tea - a caramel freddo.
That's the plan followed 100%. Two healthy extra A's, two healthy extra B's (preggo perks 🤰) 1/3 speed food, focusing on free foods & 9.5 syns 🍫
