"Last December my Mom was diagnosed with metastatic kidney cancer and this was a overwhelming shock to us all. I am only child and my world collapsed. I had to be strong for my family. My daughter and husband were a huge help. My mom's conditions were very serious and it took her half of the year to recover. Now she's much better, physically and psychologically, learning to cope with cancer and trying to lead a life as close to normal as possible.
I have been exhausted all year for many reasons, as you may guess,so when I learnt Maja Bohemien (my long time Tattooist) had moved to Dublin from Milan, I seized the day and contacted her. We arranged everything and I started saving for my trip there. I had to struggle convincing my husband to accept it.
I decided to have a tattoo related to Alice in Wonderland because it's always been my favourite book. And the quote on my tattoo really represents what I am: 'I'm not crazy, my reality is just different than yours". That's me, an outcast for my choices, always feeling at odds with normal people. And I really wanted to have it made this year to remind myself how much I went through, all the sorrow I had to put up with, but I made it."

"This is my 'storm in a tea cup' Tattoo. Even if there was a fire in the house, my granny would have us all sit down for a nice cup of tea to strategise a way out. So this ones for Granny Annie. There's always time for tea. "

"I love bold traditional Tattoos and I had been admiring an artist named Fabian Nitz work for a long time. He's a traditional German artist based in Berlin. I never thought I would have the chance to get tattooed by him but my boyfriend surprised me with a trip to Berlin and a voucher to be inked by him.I love the Tattoo because it's bold, traditional and it fits my arm perfectly. Sorry there's not much of a story behind it!"

"All my Tattoos are feminine in some form. I don't like to go by the term 'feminist' because I believe in equality for everyone. I don't like how women put each other down, I'm more for empowerment. People should be the best versions of themselves. I love being a woman and everything that comes with it. I'm covered in beautiful women, because I love the beauty in all women"

"This song lyric really spoke to me when I first heard it; we all have a tendency to listen to that nagging inner dialogue but sometimes it's better to remember that it's all in your head."

"My tattoo is the symbol for the Animal Liberation Front (ALF). I've been a Vegan since I was 13 and an animal rights activist since I was 14. The ALF have always been my heroes, I have huge respect for anyone who takes direct action to save a life, regardless of the consequences. I currently run the National Animal Rights Association. I live by my beliefs, and my tattoo represents that. Until all are free, no one is free."

"My partner and I are on our way to Northern Italy from Australia via France and Ireland to elope. The tattoo is a Hongi which is a traditional Maori greeting meaning the 'sharing of breath'. I got this tattoo to celebrate the commitment we're about to make and the incredible strength we have as a couple."

"I can remember exactly where I was and what I was doing when I heard Ayrton Senna had died. Having the death of someone you hardly know affect you so much is such a strange feeling, especially when you are only 9 years old. I can't explain it but since that day I just felt a strong connection to him. The Helmet is to commemorate his memory."

"I used to get a lot of stick as a kid for being into hip hop and even more when I started to rap. I kept with it though and it definitely put my life on the right path when things were going down the tubes for me. I was in a rap crew called The Animators and we released an album called "Drawn Together" that I'm still really proud of! I loved the logo done for the album by Classquatch so I had to get it inked on my skin."
