Sarah Jennifer Knott Foundation

Sarah Jennifer Knott Foundation Our mission is to promote awareness, education, and research for Cancer of Unknown Primary (CUP). Jenny also lost her life to cancer at a very young age.

About Us
The Sarah Jennifer Knott Foundation was established following the death of Sarah Knott from Cancer of Unknown Primary on April 11, 2015 at the age of 31. In honour of Sarah’s immense bravery, her family and friends set up the Sarah Jennifer Knott Foundation in an effort to promote awareness, education, and research of Cancer of Unknown Primary (CUP). The SJK Foundation also aims to honour and continue Sarah’s late mother Jenny’s charity work. Learn more at www.SJKFoundation.org

We’re delighted to announce that the 8th Annual SJK Golf Classic will take place on Friday, 21st August 2026 at the stunning Palmerstown House Estate, Co. Kildare.

Since launching the Sarah Jennifer Knott Foundation in 2017, together we have raised over €750,000 in support of awareness, education and research into Cancer of Unknown Primary (CUP).

Funds raised from this year’s Golf Classic will continue to support the SJK Ralston Project, From Bench to Bedside, advancing CUP research while helping Irish patients gain access to precision oncology and targeted treatments through the National Molecular Board at Cancer Trials Ireland.

We’re also proud to share that all funds raised from this year’s Golf Classic, and for the following four years, will be matched by Research Ireland, doubling the impact of every contribution.

Team registration and sponsorship enquiries are now open. Gather your team of four and join us for another fantastic day in support of the SJK Foundation.

Together with Missie Tumor Onbekend our World CUP Alliance founding partners we held our first ever international CUP Conference in Berlin with leading experts from around the world. Research was presented that SJK is funding and from which we won in Madrid the Ennova Award in Big Data & AI.

As proud members of WECAN we joined our European colleagues in Warsaw for the Polish launch of ECHoS & in Berlin to celebrate WECAN’s 10th Anniversary

-Our various fundraising initiatives including our 7th annual golf classic, we raised thousands of euro with every cent raised going towards education research and advocacy into CUP.
