If you’ve always felt like your profile looks a little out of balance - even though you can’t quite explain why - it’s often the chin.

A weaker chin can make the lower face look softer, the jawline less defined, and the nose look more prominent, even when there’s nothing “wrong” with any of those features. It’s just proportions doing what proportions do.

This patient transformation is a great example of what we mean by subtle structural support. A small amount of dermal filler placed in the chin can strengthen the profile, improve harmony, and give the lower face a cleaner line - without changing who you are. It’s not about making the chin big. It’s about giving it the support it’s been missing.

A few things we always want you to know:

👉🏼 This is a considered treatment, not a quick add-on

👉🏼 The goal is balance, not boldness

👉🏼 Less is usually more when it comes to the chin

👉🏼 The plan should suit your face now, and still make sense in years to come

If you’ve been thinking about your profile, jawline, or chin and you’re not sure what would actually help, book a consultation via the link in bio. We’ll assess your face properly, talk through options, and build a plan that keeps things natural and future-proof 💌

We run a clinic, and we'd like you to sort your skincare before booking anything with us.

We see enough treatments doing the heavy lifting for a routine that isn't pulling its weight to keep saying it out loud. Good foundations first, everything else after.

A few more things we'll say that most clinics would rather we didn't 👉🏼

Sun damage isn't one thing, which is why one treatment rarely sorts it.

Sitting on the same face you'll often find surface pigment, deeper pigment, a melasma component behaving completely differently, broken capillaries and textural change from collagen loss.

Treat all of that as "pigmentation" and you'll get a partial result at best, and occasionally a worse one.

Here's the order we'd work through it, in clinic and at home 👉🏼

Three skincare products you should stop wasting your money on, and one of them is probably in your bathroom right now ✨️

I see the fallout from these constantly in clinic, and it’s usually money spent that’s actively working against people rather than for them. So let me save you both the cash and the barrier damage.

👉🏽 First, your friend’s favourite product. What transforms their skin might do nothing for yours, or worse, irritate it. Their genetics, barrier, and concerns differ from yours, so a glowing recommendation never guarantees it’ll suit you.

👉🏽 Second, prescription-strength retinoids bought without any guidance. I understand the temptation to order something stronger online or pick it up cheaper abroad, but I see the most damage when you use a strength without supervision. Barrier breakdown, burns, rebound sensitivity that can take months to settle. These are powerful ingredients that need a proper plan, not an impulse buy.

👉🏽 And third, fragrance. Unless it’s in your perfume, I don’t want it anywhere near your skincare. It’s one of the most common causes of reactions I see, and it adds absolutely no benefit. Your skin doesn’t need to smell of anything to work.

Skip these three, and you’ll save your money and, very likely, your barrier too.

Juläine or Sculptra? They sound similar - they’re built on the same base, and yet they do genuinely different things, which is exactly why the “which is better” debate misses the point.

Both are made from poly-L-lactic acid, but the way each sphere is made changes what it signals your body to do, and that’s where the two part ways. It was never an either or, they’re simply suited to different concerns.

Sculptra has had a real revival lately, used far more elegantly now than in years past. It triggers collagen, can create gentle volume where you want it, and is wonderful used laterally in the face to rejuvenate skin, soften laxity and add a little structure. I’ve used it for years and have it myself.

Juläine is a different proposition entirely. Its focus is skin quality rather than volume, and it’s actually on-label for the nasolabial folds, an area I wouldn’t typically choose Sculptra for. It sits at a more premium price point for good reason: it delivers collagen stimulation while leaving no trace behind, without the fibrosis or stiffening that can sometimes come with older PLLA products. It’s genuinely regenerative, a word that gets used far too loosely.

So whether it’s volume or skin quality you’re after, the answer starts with a proper assessment, because the last thing you want is to waste your money, or your face, on the wrong treatment.

The easiest thing to do in clinic is agree with you.

Say yes, book the treatment, take the payment, everyone leaves happy for about six months. Saying no takes longer, sits less comfortably in the room, and is usually the thing that protects your face five years from now.

Here's what we won't do here, and why 👉🏼

Not everyone noticing a softer jawline needs filler, threads or anything sharp.

Laxity sends more people reaching for filler than almost anything else, when what they actually need is heat.

SkinTyte runs on the same Sciton BBL device we use for pigmentation and redness, just swapped over to infrared and different filters. Same machine, entirely different job. It works deeper, contracting collagen and building new fibres across a course.

Twenty minutes, makeup back on, off you go. Everything worth knowing is below 👉🏼

A few things we don’t compromise on at The Glow Clinic:

✨ Assessing before we treat. Every plan starts with what’s actually happening in your skin, never with what you walked in asking for.

✨ Saying no when no is the right answer. Agreeing is easy. An honest clinical opinion is what you’re really paying us for.

✨ Time in the room. Full-face consultations, proper conversations, nothing rushed to fit another name in the diary.

✨ Evidence over hype. We adopt treatments when the data supports them, not when the internet decides it’s their month.

✨ Skin that works for real life. A plan built around what will make you happy, not one that has you back in every three months out of obligation.

✨ How you look in ten years. Everything we recommend is chosen with that in mind, not just what looks good next week.
