Our team and residents at Teach Fáilte, our assisted living service in Mountbolus, , are excited to begin work on their outdoor area. This would not be possible without the €1,750 funding received from Tullamore Credit Union's Community Support Fund. We are so grateful for this support. Our Interim Local Services Manager, Gene and our Interim Team Leader, Chanelle were delighted to attend the presentation event to accept this funding on behalf of our Teach Fáilte team!

A huge thank you to Edel Ryan who raised over €1,800 for our services in . Edel chose to support Acquired Brain Injury Ireland because the cause is close to her heart, with a close friend benefiting from our services.

She completed an incredible 50km Camino walk travelling from Garryspillane through Knocklong, Hospital, Bruff, Lough Gur and the Stone Circle before returning to Lough Gur.

We love sharing photos and updates from our services across Ireland and today, we have a special update from our Waterford team. Meet our community service user, Pat. After his brain injury, one of Pat's goals was to make planters for his garden at home. With the support of his Community Rehabilitation Assistant, Tracy, Pat not only created these fantastic planters, but also built a wonderful bird table.

Now, Pat can enjoy growing flowers in his garden and feeding and watching the many different birds that visit. This has been a very rewarding and enjoyable project, supporting both creativity and rehabilitation through meaningful activity.

A huge thank you to Conor Peat who took part in the and raised more than €10,000 in support of Acquired Brain Injury Ireland. Conor took on this challenge in memory of his brother Oisín, who sadly passed away last year. Oisín was a passionate runner who completed many races and marathons, making this a truly fitting tribute.

The funds raised will support our Mobhi Road Assisted Living service, which was Oisín’s home. At our recent 'Bake for Brain Injury' event in Mobhi Road, we were delighted to welcome Oisín’s family to visit his housemates and the team who cared so deeply for him.

Conor’s incredible fundraising will make a real difference to the lives of those living at Mobhi Road and we are so grateful that he chose to support Acquired Brain Injury Ireland in Oisín’s memory.
