Did you know when you twist and crack your own your neck or back, the pop you hear is usually is a small movement of pressure in the fluid in your joings. It can feel satisfying, but that doesn’t mean you’ve corrected the underlying issue.

A chiropractic adjustment is different. It’s a specific, targeted intervention based on an assessment of how your joints are moving. The pop isn’t the treatment, it’s just something that may happen during it. (We don’t chase cracks!)

So you can crack your own neck, and sometimes they do just happen, but doing it repeatedly isn’t the same as receiving appropriate care for the reason your neck feels stiff in the first place.

So if you have a teenager or partner that is in a bad habit of contorting their spines and making it should like rice crispies (snap, crackle, pop) may be time to tell them to get booked in so we can sort out why they feel so uncomfortable.

If you’re new here, welcome! I’m so glad you’ve found my little corner of the internet.

When I’m not in the clinic, you’ll usually find me chasing my two little ones, swimming in the sea, wearing colourful clothes, and trying my best to soak up all Ireland’s sunshine.

I’m a chiropractor and the founder of Align & Co in the heart of Dun Laoghaire. Every day I get to do what I love most: helping people move better, feel stronger, and get back to living the life they enjoy.

Whether you’re struggling with persistent back or neck pain, recovering from an injury, navigating pregnancy or postpartum, juggling family life, or simply wanting your body to work the way it should, I’m here to help.

I truly believe that feeling your best allows you to show up better for the people and things you love and it’s a privilege to be part of that journey with my patients.

Its a busy week as we start to wrap up the school year. I love the variety of what comes through the door- and absolutely loving helping working parents feel and function at their best.

Feels very appropriate at the moment as my husband and I gear up for summer holidays, travel plans and entertaining 2 little kids that we stay as well regulated/ well adjusted as possible so we can enjoy work, enjoy the kids and not get stuck in a state of survival mode.

Every wondered how I can help growing kiddies? Well apart from the usual- checking for tension, discomfort or known issues- I love to help with motor milestone development. These “mini motor milestones” are a brilliant way to access progress and be proactive (rather than reactive).

This is a skill I have learnt and refined from an amazing group of chiropractors and is backed with up to date research. It helps me provide top level care for kiddos ❤️❤️
