It takes a village β and ours showed up. π
We've had a few days to come back down to earth after our Pink Coffee Morning, and the thing we keep coming back to is how many people simply said yes.
To our bakers β Aisling Walsh-McVerry, Bernadette Cunningham, Ita Leegan, Aine Leegan, Stephanie McCann , Eileen Wynne, Catherine Arthur, and Ruth Baldwin and Dr. Emilio Cecamore Amanda . That table was the heart of the day, and there wasn't a crumb left by two o'clock.
To everyone who helped us run it β Sadie Duffy, Dearbhla Wynne, Stephanie Pepper, Sean Pepper and Elaine Shevlin. Carrying chairs, keeping the urn going, washing cups, pointing people to the loo. None of it glamorous, all of it essential.
And then there's Aisling McVerry. Aisling baked, brought the cake stands, the milk jugs and the sugar bowls, cut and plated, kept the stands topped up, and was on her feet from ten o'clock refilling teapots. If the morning looked like it ran itself, that was Aisling. We honestly could not have done it without you. π
To Eileen and Ruth as well, who baked AND rolled up their sleeves on the day. Above and beyond.
To Dr. Sylvia- The Skin GP. β thank you for giving up your Sunday morning to talk to us all about knowing our own skin and getting changes checked. You could have heard a pin drop.
To Deirdre Priority Printing Baltimore β every poster, every sign, every pink thing in that room came out of your printers, and you turned it around in no time. You're a star.
And to everyone who carried a chair, washed a cup, bought a raffle ticket or quietly topped up the teapot without being asked β thank you. π
