Parkinson’s Disease - What you need to know if a friend or family member is affected. 🩵

What is it?
Parkinson’s is a progressive neurological condition that mainly affects movement. Symptoms can differ from person to person. 👉🏼

Common symptoms include: 👉🏼

Tremors or shaking.
Muscle stiffness.
Slow movement.
Balance problems.
Difficulty walking.
Changes in speech or facial expressions.
Tiredness and difficulty with everyday activities.

How exactly can a Homecare worker help?

They make a REAL difference simply by being a support.
A person to encourage, ensure safety, keeping things accessible, emotional support and being able to report changes in a condition. Something that might usually go unnoticed. 👉🏼

Remember 🩵 Parkinson’s can affect everyone in different ways, there is no blueprint.
