What is Restorative Yoga & Yoga Nidra 🤷♀️?
Restorative yoga is a gentle, therapeutic style of yoga that uses props like bolsters, blankets, and blocks to fully support the body in passive poses held for 5–20 minutes. It aims to calm the nervous system, reduce stress, and promote deep relaxation rather than building strength or flexibility. It is ideal for all levels, focusing on stillness, breath awareness, and comfort.
Yoga Nidra, or "yogic sleep," is a guided meditation practice that induces a state of deep, conscious relaxation between waking and sleeping. Performed while lying in Shavasana (corpse pose), it uses body scans and breath awareness to release tension, reduce stress, and restore balance. It is an effortless technique designed to calm the nervous system.
What is a Sound Bath🤷♀️ ?
It is an immersive experience
that uses therapeutic sound waves to promote relaxation, healing, and mindfulness. You are enveloped in the resonant sounds of instruments, including singing bowls, gongs, chimes & much more, which are played in a way that encourages the mind to relax and the body to release .The vibrations can physically affect the body, potentially impacting cellular-level relaxation.
Participants generally lie on mats in a relaxed space, allowing the sounds to wash over them (bathe), fostering a state of mindful "being" rather than "doing."
Reported benefits include deep relaxation, reduced stress and anxiety, improved sleep quality, and enhanced emotional well-being.
