Aidan fruits, locally known as prekese, with the botanical name Tetrapleura tetraptera (Tetrapleura, Uhio,Aidan,Uyay is a medicinal plant native to west Africa.
In traditional medicine, aidan tree is used for the cleansing of the digestive system, weight loss, Cardiovascular Health, Immune System Support: treatment of back pain, subside pains during child labour, as a childbirth laxative to quicken up childbirth and the treatment of sterility.
Gastrointestinal Health: The plant's antimicrobial properties help treat digestive issues like diarrhea, vomiting, and stomach ulcers.
