‼️Save Our Supplements ‼️
Could supplement choices in Ireland be affected?
There are ongoing EU discussions around setting maximum permitted levels for vitamins and minerals in food supplements. If introduced, this could affect the strength and availability of some products that many people currently choose and use responsibly.
This includes nutrients such as Vitamin C, Vitamin D, Magnesium and Vitamin B6 as examples of the wider conversation around permitted levels.
Separately, some botanicals and other substances are also under increased EU scrutiny. These are related concerns, but not all part of the same process. Examples include ingredients such as ashwagandha, maca, curcumin, holy basil and tea tree.
To be clear: final levels and outcomes have not been confirmed yet.
But this is exactly why awareness matters now.
For us, this is about keeping access to choice, trusted advice, and quality supplements through independent health stores in Ireland.
