🚨10 High-Risk HIQA Reports. One Issue Appeared in Every Single One.

HIQA recently published 50 nursing home inspection reports. We reviewed the 10 centres that were Not Compliant with four or more regulations and a clear pattern emerged.

Regulation 23: Governance and Management was rated Not Compliant in all 10.

But governance wasn’t the only recurring concern. The reports also highlight significant findings around incident notification, residents’ rights, fire safety, premises, care planning and infection control — often showing how weaknesses in one area can quickly impact another.
