๐ฅ Are boot camps effective? ๐คซ
Since then I have been doing online classes and outdoor running programs and as the temperature rises, it's the perfect time to start our Outdoor Bootcamps. The first one kicks off on Monday 3rd April @ 6.30pm, that's only 4 days away. I have been teaching for nearly 14 years and the biggest changes I have seen in women are from classes like bootcamp. What is a Bootcamp?
Boot camp is a great way to quick start weight loss and fitness, but there are some things that you need to know before you enlist:
Is it for weight loss? Yes. You'll definitely lose extra weight and boost your cardio fitness.
It's a full body workout. It will work all your major muscle groups, including your core, and give you a great cardio workout.
It's for everyone. You can do the exercises at your own pace, so if you are starting off you can take it easier.
How it works. This program is a circuit with exercises you do for 30 to 60 seconds each, pausing for only a few seconds between exercises.
Areas It Targets
Core: Yes. The cardio portion of the workout burns fat, while exercises like planks, mountain climbers, and sit-ups work the abs and other core muscles.
Arms: Yes. This workout includes many different arm exercises. Boxercise, push-ups and planks, all can be modified to suit your level.
Legs: Yes. We will include squats, lunges, and other leg moves.
Glutes: Yes. This program includes exercises for the glute muscles, including squats and lunges.
What Else Should I Know?
Cost. โฌ69 for 4 week block (2 classes a week).
Good for beginners? Yes, I will show you how to do the moves and let you set your own pace.
Outdoors. Yes. We are doing it outdoors right by the sea. Beside the Famine Ship Memorial. It's a quiet spot and there is free parking along Grattan Road.
Meeting point. We will meet at Nimmo's Pier and take a brisk walk as our warm up.
Equipment required? Yes. A mat but not necessary. The first week the exercises mainly use your own body weight with some light boxercise moves. I will provide the gloves/ pads and sanitiser but if you have your own bring them.
Is it a big class? No. I'm keeping the group small so that I can focus on giving everyone a personalised experience. The best results come from small group training, where I can focus on technique and making sure everyone is having fun.
