Our Development Sub-Committees will be taking shape, in the next week, as we prepare to take on another hugely ambitious programme of development for White's Cross Gaa.
If you or your child/ren is involved with Our Club then we would be thrilled to have you on board to help us in our fundraising and field development projects. We have so many wonderful volunteers working diligently to coach all our girls' and boys' teams where the numbers keep growing and growing.
To future proof Our Club, we need to continue to improve our facilities now. To do that we want to get as many hands on board to lighten the load.

This morning was an early start into town to support my husband running his first half marathon. The kids told me I was “cringe” the way I was cheering him and the other runners on 😂🫣 sure they won’t even let me cheer them on at their own sports! Strict orders!!

It was lovely to soak up the atmosphere in town & the walk in was our own little marathon 😂 The body & nature is incredible but it’s also very important to understand your body & what you feel.

After intense exercise like running, adrenaline can trigger histamine release in the body. Some people feel amazing initially, but later end up completely wiped out.

Histamine isn’t just linked to allergies, it activates your mast cells — it also affects inflammation, blood flow, the nervous system and energy production. When histamine levels rise after exercise, some people may notice symptoms like:

• flushing or feeling overheated
• headaches or migraines
• itching or skin irritation
• sinus congestion
• bloating, reflux, vomiting or diarrhoea
• dizziness or rapid heart rate
• fatigue or “crashing” later in the day
• anxiety, irritability or feeling wired but exhausted

Especially for females, throw in hormone fluctuations & your fairly screwed!

It was also lovely to see complete strangers standing in the streets cheering people on and encouraging them to keep going.

Afterwards we went to The Barn for some very well earned food, and they were giving 20% off to marathon runners 👏

The medals today were also a beautiful tribute to Ellen, who sadly died after last year’s marathon. Seeing hundreds of runners and spectators wearing yellow in her memory was incredibly moving 💛

Huge well done to everyone who ran today 👏

What I wish I’d known before starting a low histamine diet 🍃

When symptoms are overwhelming, the instinct is often to cut everything out immediately and hope for relief. But in many cases, that only creates more stress, confusion, and restriction.

What I’ve learned — both personally and professionally — is that histamine issues are rarely just about food.

Freshness matters.
Stress matters.
Hormones matter.
Sleep matters.
Your nervous system matters.

And most importantly, your patterns matter.

A low histamine diet should never feel like punishment. The goal is to understand your body better so you can eventually restrict less, not more.

One of my favourite things about country life 🚜☀️

The farmers were in baling again today. Some years it’s hay, other years it’s silage, but either way it always feels like summer has officially arrived.

The kids are usually stuck in school when it’s all happening, so I always try to video it for them. The there’s great fun climbing and jumping on the bales after 🤫😂 Sssh… don’t tell the farmers.

It’s the simple things like this I love most about country life.

We still really miss seeing Farmer Dan and his cows out in the fields though 😢🐄
