Sound Healing
This time 7 years ago I qualified as a Sound Healing Practitioner,
It's my most hard come by qualification to date & the one I'm most proud of,
I initially approached Catriona at & declared I wanted to sign up for the course whereby she then told me I needed to do a diploma course in Anatomy, Physiology & Pathology first,
I was deflated but knew there & then I had to do this even though I had no leaning towards Biology etc when I was in school in the 80's..I just didn't get it
I started driving up to Portlaoise every Tuesday night after work to college but due to ill health had to defer the course for a year..I was devastated,
A year later I restarted & got my qualification & it also instilled in me an amazing curiosity of how the body works,
I was then able to start my Sound Healing course..I can still remember the feeling of excitement as I drove up for my first day's training knowing I was on the exact right path for me,
Ollie is the most amazing teacher & the people on my course were all as excited & focused as me & a year later after all my in house training & multiple case studies etc my certificate landed on my hall floor,
That piece of paper was a culmination of so much & Sound has irrevocably changed my life..I introduce Sound into my therapies & classes because I know the benefits of the oldest healing modality on the planet..If my house was on fire I would grab my cat & my Tibetan Singing Bowls..that's how much they mean to me..I tap them as I pass them & let the sound resonate through my home..the mellifluous tones tell me all is well or maybe not so,
Sound is a truly unique & deeply healing experience that no social media post can ever explain & I give thanks everytime I pick one of my Sound instruments up that I was brought on this path.
I've just been invited to bring my Journey Through Sound to another festival in October but more about that another time.
