We had a mind blowing tour of The Oratory this morning, a shrine of radical Celtic art, hand painted by Bean Feasa ( wise woman!) Sr Concepta (Lily) Lynch. Tucked away in Dun Laoire & built as a symbol & space for Peace & Meditation post World War 1.

In her spare time from the convent she painted this for 19 years🪄 & the kids in the school helped her too… she continued painting the ceiling when she was dying while others held her arm. Stained glass art by Harry Clarke’s studio ..

Dear 1 in 8 Men of Instagram & beyond.

Imparting knowledge… I sense I was divinely guided to sit beside a really inspiring courageous Man when I was having lunch yesterday and we got chatting about his Diagnosis and personal journey with Prostate Cancer ~ with Full permission to share.

Below is his flyer for a valuable Peer Support group he set up specifically for Men at stage 4.

I have made this public so it can be shared far and wide. He also gave me his pin brooch ‘the main symbol for Prostate Cancer UK ~ the “Man of Men” icon, a stylized figure made of 77 smaller icons representing the people united to fight the disease. It represents, supports, and remembers the 1 in 8 men affected by prostate cancer.’

‘Men need to talk -with caring understanding fellow patients who have walked the same road. Compassionate, honest support changes everything.”
