Yesterday was our last classes for this school year in St Colmcilles Community School.

We celebrated with Joy, Abigeal showed us how to make Mindful Love Bugs, Nathan brought cakes to celebrate his Birthday.

Such a fantastic group of children, I have been so lucky to have had the pleasure of working with since October. I have learnt so much from all of you 😍

A fantastic 4 weeks. From the Colour Monster to The Invisible String, we learnt so much about our feelings. We learnt that all our feelings are ok, were our feelings can show up in our bodies, how our breath helps us and how we are all connected by an invisible string👾

The children were so receptive to it all and we had great chats and fun over the past 4 weeks. A big learning for me......never underestimate how much children take in and how much they know even at a young age😃

I made this feelings chart for the children in . I have taken the children's name off this one for privacy.

Why is this a useful visual? Because it helps children name their feelings,it allows them the space to think about how they are feeling and it helps them understand what those feelings mean.

Its important that we name feelings around children so they become familiar with them. It also is so important for regulation as young children can find it difficult to tell us how they are feeling.

Two lovely classes in St. Colmcilles Community School exploring what makes a good friend.

We played friendship bingo, simply questions that inspire conversations with others, such as do you have a pet? Do you like pizza? 🍕🐶

What do you like in a friend? This question will be reflected back in next weeks class when we look at how we can be a good friend to ourselves👭👫

What an amazing week! Some beautiful photos of the children's art from my Tuesday classes in St Colmcilles Community School Knocklyon were we explored heart maps. ❤️💚💙

I spent a fab morning on Wednesday with the fantastic preschoolers and staff in , were we had some sensory play and made some brains from playdough! 🧠

Wednesday evening I had the pleasure of hosting a lovely Women's Circle in the Iona Centre were we took some time for ourselves to recharge🧘‍♀️🧘‍♀️

This morning was spent in were the preschoolers made breathing buddies and breathing wands. An amazing group of children and staff 😀😀

Feeling extreemly grateful that I get to share all the practices I have learnt with so many and to do a job I really love 🤗
