10 signs your inner child may be asking for your attention πŸ€—

β€’ You struggle to say no because you don't want to upset anyone
β€’ You apologise for things that aren't your fault
β€’ You feel guilty when you put your own needs first
β€’ You constantly seek approval or reassurance from others
β€’ You overthink conversations and worry you've said the wrong thing
β€’ You find it difficult to trust compliments and often dismiss them
β€’ You put everyone else's needs before your own
β€’ You fear rejection and take things personally
β€’ You are incredibly hard on yourself when you make a mistake
β€’ You feel responsible for keeping everyone else happy

These are NOT weaknesses. They are survival patterns that you learned when you were a child.

Ways that kept you safe.
Ways of being accepted.
Ways of avoiding disappointment or conflict.

The child within you doesn't need fixing. She needs understanding and compassion

She needs to know that the adult you are today can give her the safety, love, and reassurance she has always deserved.

Does any of them resonate with you?

One of the most powerful things you will ever do is stop abandoning the younger version of yourself.

That little girl inside you is still there.....
The one who felt unseen
The one who learned to stay quiet
The one who thought she had to earn love
The one who carried hurt, she didn't have the words to explain

Healing is not about becoming someone new. It's about returning to the parts of you that needed love the most. It's about sitting with your younger self and saying:
"I see you."
"I hear you."
"You didn't deserve what happened."
"You don't have to carry it alone anymore."

Every time you choose yourself, set a boundary, speak kindly to yourself. When you honour your needs, you heal a little piece of her too. And one day, the love that you spent years searching for outside yourself becomes the love you give yourself freely today.
That's when healing becomes FREEDOM πŸ€—

If your inner child could say one thing to you today, what do you think she would say?

Life changes us. Very often, it's quiet, and sometimes it can be all at once.

One thing I've been learning recently is that many of the emotions we experience during difficult times are completely normal, even though we rarely talk about them.

We often think/feel we're supposed to have all the answers, keep going, and move on quickly.
But healing, grieving, growing, and rebuilding don't work that way.

If you're navigating change, loss, uncertainty, or simply trying to find your footing again, I hope this reminds you that what you're feeling may be more common than you realise.

I'd love to know which slide resonated with you most?

I've been quiet lately, and if I'm being completely honest, I've been exhausted.
Not just tired in my body, but tired in my soul.
I've been navigating grief, loss, life changes, work pressures, and challenges I never saw coming. Some of those losses have been visible, while others have been much harder to put into words.

There have been moments where I've felt disconnected from myself, as though I've lost pieces of who I am along the way. After spending so many years showing up for everyone else, building, supporting, caring, and holding everything together, I've found myself asking some deeper questions about who I am now and what comes next.

The truth is that grief doesn't only come when we loose a person, often we can grieve old versions of ourselves, relationships that have changed, dreams that didn't unfold the way we expected, or chapters of life that have quietly come to an end.

For a while, I thought I needed to push harder and keep going, but instead, I realised what I really needed was to slow down, listen, and allow myself the space to heal.

I've been afraid at times....
Afraid of being seen
Afraid of being vulnerable
Afraid of sharing before I've figured everything out
But every day is teaching me to trust a little more.....
To trust myself
To trust the process
To trust that rebuilding happens one small step at a time

So if you're carrying grief, feeling lost, struggling through life's challenges, or trying to reconnect with parts of yourself that feel forgotten or lost, please know you're not alone.

Sometimes, healing isn't about finding all the answers. It's simply about giving yourself permission to rest, to feel, and to keep taking the next step forward, and maybe that's enough for today.
Much love to you all πŸ€—πŸ’•

Sometimes protecting your peace means stepping back from the noise.

Sometimes the β€œnoise” looks like:
β€’ Constant notifications and messages
β€’ Comparing yourself to people online
β€’ Feeling pressure to always be available
β€’ Drama that drains your energy
β€’ Negative opinions from others
β€’ Overthinking every little thing
β€’ Trying to please everyone
β€’ News and social media overload
β€’ Self-doubt and harsh self-talk
β€’ Carrying stress that was never yours to hold

You do not need to answer every message.
You do not need to carry every opinion.
You do not need to give your energy to everything around you.

Quiet moments are not selfish. They are necessary. The more you reconnect with yourself, the clearer everything becomes πŸ€—

Some people come into your life to repeat a lesson and some are to help you finally break the pattern.

The difference is often felt in your peace, not their words. Pay attention to how people make you feel after the conversation ends. Drained or grounded. Confused or clear. Heavy or inspired.

Growth starts when you stop chasing familiar pain and start choosing what feels healthy, calm, and real.
