⚠️A WEEKEND TO REMEMBER ⚠️

✅ What an incredible weekend for gym members and staff
✅ We had 15 athletes head to Letterkenny to take on Hyrox Donegal 2.0 organised by Hup Fitness

✅ A big shout out Aisling and Gemma taking part in their first ever Hyrox. Aisling took on the Half Hyrox and Gemma completed the Half Doubles with her mum Annemarie.

✅ Also taking part were Stephen, Patricia & Marie, Aileen & Orla, Jackie & Michelle, Rita & Troy and Ciaran.

✅ A special mention to Barbara & Aoife teaming up for the first time and taking the win in the female doubles. Brilliant performance!

✅ Across the Irish sea Caolan, Shane and Hannah took on Hyrox Cardiff. Caolan finished in an impressive time of just over 60min narrowly missing out on a podium finish. Shane put in another strong performance finishing in 68min and Hannah was just outside her pb but still had a great race to finish in 1hr 22.

✅ Also in Cardiff competing for the first time together at a Hyrox were Alaine & Rebecca who took part in the Female Pro Doubles. They stormed around and took third spot in their age group in one of the most competitive Hyrox events there is. Superb!

✅ In Mayo Cathy took on the Women's Mini Marathon 10km road race and put in a great performance to finish just under the 50min on a hilly course. Well done!

✅ Finally down in Limerick we had Sinead and Sean take on the half marathon and marathon respectively

✅ Sinead had a target of sub 1hr 30 but ended up smashing her target and setting a new pb of 1hr 26. Thats a 4:07/km for 21km!!!

✅ Sean took on the full marathon distance of 42.2km. After setting some impressive times in other races over the last few months his eyes were firmly set on a sub 3hr time. No easy task however Sean's steely determination and metronomic pacing gave him a finish time of 2hr 56min. A 4:11/km. Outrageous running for his first marathon at 25!

✅ The common thread across all of these performances is simple: consistency, discipline, and hard work over time. What we see on race day is just the outcome. The real story is written in training when nobody is watching. This is just a small way to recognise that effort and dedication. Well done all!
