Last week, a lady drove up to the workshop looking for a conditioner bar.
She’d been gifted one of our shampoo bars a few days earlier and wanted to know what conditioner matched it.
What surprised me was that she couldn’t have cared less that the products were plastic-free.
She wasn’t interested in sustainability.
She wasn’t interested in reducing waste.
She wasn’t interested in eco-friendly packaging.
What she was interested in was the fact that after one wash, her itchy scalp had stopped bothering her.
She’d put it down to menopause and assumed it was just something she’d have to live with.
One shampoo later, she was driving to Longford looking for more.
And honestly? That’s exactly how I think it should be.
The plastic-free packaging matters.
The handmade process matters.
The natural ingredients matter.
But none of it matters if the product doesn’t do the job.
People shouldn’t have to choose between products that work and products that are better for the planet.
