We are incredibly proud to announce that the Mayo Traveller Movement Football Team has been crowned winners of the National Pavee Point Men's Health Football Tournament winning against County Roscommon! In the Phoenix Park πŸŽ‰πŸ‘

The team showed outstanding determination, teamwork, and pride throughout the competition, securing a fantastic victory with a final score of 0–3.

This achievement is a testament to the dedication of every player, coach, supporter, and volunteer involved. You have represented Mayo and the Traveller community with great honour and excellence.

Don't forget your heart check this morning 10.30 to 1.30pm . Croi and the MTM team are here at the parish centre Castlebar with HSE Health Promotion , Diabetes health nurse . Followed by Teas and Coffees and a chat with our Community Health Care Workers. Special Thanks to Croi, Martin Lyons , Parish Centre , Sinead O Malley, Manager Family Centre and the Mayo County Council workers who helped put up the Gazbo this morning for us .

Today on the Mall in Castlebar, we were proud to host our first local Traveller Pride & Heritage Day as part of Traveller Pride Week.
It was a fantastic day celebrating Traveller culture and heritage through cultural information sessions, heritage talks, and plenty of fun and games for the children. It was wonderful to see so many young people engaging, learning, and enjoying the day together.
A very special thank you to Castlebar Primary School and St. Brids Special School for bringing the pupils along to take part in the activities, fun, and Traveller heritage information sessions.
We would also like to sincerely thank the HSE and Mayo County Council for their support in helping make this event possible.
Thank you to everyone who attended and helped celebrate Traveller Pride Week with us today in Castlebar. πŸ’š
