What a week to start week 2 with this beautiful sunshine to deeply nourish us 😎
This week is all Nourishment | Rest & Sleep 🫶

Sometimes self care begins with the simplest rituals.

Starting your morning with warm water and lemon is a gentle way to awaken the body, support hydration, aid digestion, and create a mindful moment before the day begins.

More than the physical benefits, it’s the intention behind the ritual that matters. Slowing down, breathing deeply, and taking a moment to nourish yourself first.

Small daily habits can create more balance for both mind & body 🤍

Here’s a little tip on how to make things a little easier and on preparing and storing your lemons for your morning lemon tea ritual 🍋
1. Slice your lemons into slices
2. Store in a container and store in the freezer
3. Each morning boil your kettle
4. Take 1-2 slices of lemon from the freezer and pop into your hot cup of water
5. Allow about 5 mins before drinking to allow the lemon to brew in your cup
6. Take mindful sips and enjoy 😊

Over the next few weeks our focus at Oxygen is all about brining awareness to the importance of self-care that goes BEYOND BEAUTY..

So what is self care ??
Self care is an act of engaging in activities that nourish you at all levels of being, each and every day, as well as the conscious release of physical and emotional blocks that may be holding you back from living to your full potential. The goal is never perfection, but the self-awareness to understand when you’re feeling an imbalance, and the knowledge of Self Care practices to help bring you closer to balance.

𝗦𝗲𝗹𝗳 𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗲
It’s more than a nourishing meal or a day at the spa.
self care is a way of being that enhances every aspect of your daily life, and everyone around you.

At times we can fall off the wagon when it comes to looking after ourselves ( including me😊) when we are so busy with other distractions in life !
But that’s ok !
The key is, having the awareness to know you’ve forgotten about your own Self care and then make some simple changes . 👌🏼

Simple, everyday activities like taking a few deep breaths to reset, going for a stroll in nature or sipping warm lemon water in the morning can have a profound positive impact on your wellbeing.

Every action matters. No action is too small to make a difference.

We will be sharing some very informative educational information on the importance of self-care that goes beyond beauty 🤍

We spend so much time focusing on appearance that we sometimes forget the importance of how we truly feel within ourselves.

Beyond Beauty is a gentle reminder that self care is also about rest, balance, peace, and reconnecting with yourself again 🌿

Sometimes the most meaningful transformation begins the moment you slow down and simply breathe 🤍

I’ve been chatting to a lot of women lately about hair shedding…
and honestly, it’s rarely just about the hair 🤍

From a Chinese medicine point of view, the hair is nourished by our Blood and supported by our deeper energy.
So when life has been full on… stress, change, giving to everyone else…
the body naturally prioritises what’s most important first.

And sometimes, the hair gets what’s left 🌿

It’s not something going wrong.
It’s more like your body asking for a bit of support… a bit of care back.

We’re so used to pushing through, keeping going, holding it all together…
but the body does keep the score.

This is where things can gently shift 🤍

Coming back to simple things…
slow, mindful movement like Qigong
taking a few proper breaths, eating nutritious foods, and giving yourself space to rest.

This is how we regulate the nervous system.
This is how the body begins to feel safe again.
And from there… it can start to nourish properly 🌿

And sometimes, a little extra support can really help…
through 1:1 wellbeing sessions, craniosacral therapy, or deeply restorative head spa rituals.

A space to slow down, be held, and allow the body to reset 🤍

At Oxygen wellness I always look at the bigger picture, because your hair is part of your whole story.

To every single client who has walked through our doors, supported us, and trusted us with your hair, your wellbeing, and your time .

What started as a salon has grown into something so much more… a space for beauty, wellness, Lifestyle and transformation. Who would of ever thought 18yrs ago that this little seed of Oxygen would would grow into something so special and meaningful ✨
I’m are deeply grateful for the memories, the good times and. the challenging times because it’s a true saying, growth never comes from the comfort zone, it’s the challenging times that have made us who we are today .

It’s hard to believe our Japanese Head Spa has been open almost 2 months.

In that short time, so many of you have stepped into this space, taken the time for yourself and paused from the outside world, and allowed yourselves to fully relax, reset, and restore.

We’re so grateful for every client who has supported us, trusted us, and returned again for this experience.

This room has become more than just a treatment space…
It’s a little sanctuary, a place of stillness, calm, and care.
