Murphy's Abbey Pharmacy is a family owned and run business in Mitchelstown (originally located on Lower Cork Street but now located beside the Tesco store) established by William Murphy more than 100 years ago, in 1908.He died in 1918 during the Spanish FLu Pandemic.For the next twenty years the Pharmacy was managed by Mr Cummins a native of Ballymote Co Cavan.When WIlliam's son Gerard (M G) qual

ified as a Chemist he returned to manage the business with his wife Maisie also a qualified Chemist.Their son Peter qualified as a Pharmacist with a degree From UCD in 1976 an returned to Mitchelstown to work with his parents.

We would like to thank everyone for calling in and supporting our Spinathon fundraiser in aid of The Jack and Jill Children's Foundation 😊 🚴‍♀️

Special thanks to Maeve & Ben Lynch and Mitchelstown Leisure Centre for organising and lending us the spin bike for the day. Maeve also kindly did a few kilometers on the bike for us. ☺️

We must also thank Kevin from Colours Paint Shop for kindly giving up his free time and spending an hour on the bike, we really appreciated it 👏

The raffle for the hampers will continue in store for the month of September so if you haven't supported already, you still have time!

We will be selling raffle tickets with 3 amazing hampers to be won 🎁

Tickets: 1 strip for €4 or 3 strips for €10 and can be purchased in store.
