A proud day for community pharmacy.

Today, John Keane, pharmacist and owner of HealthPoint Pharmacy, joined a delegation from the Irish Pharmacy Union at Leinster House for Dáil statements recognising the contribution of pharmacists to healthcare in Ireland.

Minister for Health, Jennifer Carroll MacNeill, thanked pharmacists and pharmacy teams for their ongoing professionalism, support and care within our communities.

It was John’s first time attending a Dáil session and a proud moment to hear that contribution recognised.

As we celebrate World Pharmacy Week and look ahead to World Pharmacists Day tomorrow, we want to thank our whole HealthPoint team: pharmacists, technicians, front of shop advisers, trainers and educators.

Your knowledge, kindness and care make a difference to our patients every day.

Thank you to the IPU for the opportunity to attend and for continuing to champion our profession.

Fellow pharmacist Jack Kavanagh gave us plenty to reflect on at our annual Managers and Supervisors Conference. Through his own experiences, he shared the value of embracing difficult choices in pursuit of a greater goal.

Our takeaway? Keep choosing excellence.

In our pharmacies, that means listening carefully, anticipating a patient’s needs and supporting a colleague when the day gets busy. It also means making time to recharge so we can continue to care for others.

A day to connect, reflect and celebrate our people 💚

Our fourth annual HealthPoint Pharmacy Managers and Supervisors Conference brought us together at Johnstown House to explore “Where we’re at and where we’re going.”

From sharing ideas to celebrating brilliant colleagues, the day centred on what matters most: supporting our teams so they can provide exceptional care in our communities.
