Huge congratulations to our Westmeath Senior Footballers on their fantastic Leinster Final victory over Dublin and on bringing the Delaney Cup home for only the second time in history.

What a performance from this superb group of players. Their display was phenomenal from start to finish as they completely blitzed Dublin with skill, intensity, teamwork and belief.
Massive credit also goes to Mark McHugh and his management team for the incredible preparation, professionalism and leadership shown throughout the campaign. The pride and spirit shown by this Westmeath team has lifted the whole county.

A special mention to Luke Loughlin of The Downs GAA Club. Although he wasn’t on the field due to his unfortunate injury, he has been instrumental to Westmeath’s progress over recent years and remains one of Ireland’s top footballers and was instrumental to the win despite not being on the field

Westmeathgaaofficial Senior Football's long term tallisman, John Heslin's return in the second half gave the team a huge lift. But there is no “I” in any successful team, this was not just a team effort, it was a full squad effort.

A truly historic day for Westmeath football and one that will be remembered for many years to come.

Well done lads from all at Whelehans Pharmacy. Like the rest of the county, we are so proud of you 💜🤍🏆

Inny Reds’ remarkable week
Great pride in Inny Reds this week after an incredible few days for the club’s under 12 side. 💙⚽🏆

Although their Connacht final journey ended against a superb Corrib Rangers team in Westport, the young Inny side represented Westmeath and the Longford League with tremendous determination, skill and character throughout the campaign. Reaching a Connacht final is a massive achievement in itself, particularly in a competition traditionally dominated by some of Galway’s strongest underage clubs. 👏

Captain and goalkeeper Daniel Brady, son of Inny FC manager Eamonn Brady, of Whelehans Pharmacies, produced an outstanding display in the final, earning praise from both camps, while the entire squad showed enormous heart and resilience against top-class opposition. 🧤🔥

The response from the team just two days later showed the character within the group. Inny Reds bounced back in style to win the Longford League Shield final in Abbeycarton after a dramatic penalty shootout victory over Newtownforbes. 🏆

After a tense 0-0 draw, Inny kept their composure to win 4-3 on penalties, with Daniel Brady (son of Inny Manager and of Whelehans, Eamonn Brady again proving the hero by saving two spot-kicks. Sean Reynolds converted the winning penalty, while captain Shane O’Neill proudly lifted the trophy afterwards. ⚽🙌

Best of luck also to the squad this weekend as they face Mostrim FC in the Tynan Cup semi-final in Streete. 💪⚽

A fantastic achievement by all players, management, parents and supporters involved. 👏

Earwax removal clinic now available at Whelehans Pharmacy Clonmore
Whelehans Pharmacy’s professional earwax removal clinic is now available at its Clonmore location in Mullingar, having moved from Whelehans Pharmacy on Pearse Street.

The service is carried out by trained pharmacy professionals using modern microsuction equipment to safely and effectively remove excess earwax. This can help relieve symptoms such as blocked ears, reduced hearing, discomfort, or ringing in the ears.

A short assessment is carried out first to determine whether earwax is present and requires removal. Clinics take place every Wednesday.

Whelehans Pharmacy Clonmore is located at Unit 2B, Zone C, Mullingar Business Park, Mullingar, N91 R7TC. The location offers convenient access with free parking nearby, making it easy for patients to attend appointments.

Fantastic to see Inny Football Club (U12s) preparing for their Connacht Final this weekend 👏⚽🔴🟡⚫

The team’s incredible journey continues after a series of determined performances, showing real resilience and teamwork to reach this stage. Inny Football Club are once again proudly representing Westmeath and Longford League on a big provincial stage.

We are especially delighted for our pharmacist and owner, Eamonn Brady, who is the manager of this talented young side.

It’s a brilliant achievement for the players, their families, and the wider community, a real example of what can be achieved through dedication and team spirit 💪
