Conjunctivitis is a common eye condition that can cause redness, irritation, watering, and sometimes a sticky discharge. It can be caused by viruses, bacteria, or allergies, so getting the right advice is important.

With the Common Conditions Service, our pharmacists can now assess and treat eligible patients with conjunctivitis—making it easier to access expert care without needing to book a GP appointment first.
Our pharmacists will assess your symptoms, recommend the most appropriate treatment where appropriate, and refer you to another healthcare professional if further assessment is needed.

With September upon us this service is proving extremely useful when children may need treatment to enable them to return to education in school or creche

💚 The Common Conditions Service is also available for other conditions, including:
• Impetigo
• Oral thrush
• Shingles
• Uncomplicated urinary tract infections (for eligible women)
• Emergency hormonal contraception
