✨ Essence of Stillness ✨
Italian Countryside Retreat | Sept 10–15, 2026 | 5 Nights

We have 4 spots left, and I’d love for one of them to be yours 🤍

Shared rooms from €1035 for 5 nights.

Stillness isn’t something you add to a schedule. It’s what happens when enough is taken away, and that’s the idea we built this retreat around.

Essence of Stillness unfolds in the hills outside Bologna, in a landscape shaped by centuries of slow agricultural rhythm. We’ve tried to bring that same rhythm into every day of the retreat.

🌅 Mornings open gently with meditation and yoga as the sun rises, not as the first task of the day, but as the way each day settles

🧘 You’ll be introduced to a 21-day Sadhana practice, something to carry home with you long after the retreat ends

🥾 A guided hike through the valley

🍇 Meals built around what local farmers are growing that week

🍷 A visit to an award-winning family-run vineyard

Every part of this retreat was chosen because it comes from the people who work this land, not because it belongs on an itinerary. We don’t think you’ll find this exact combination of land, food, and quiet anywhere else.

📍 Bologna, Italy
🗓️ September 10th–15th, 2026
💶 From €1035 for shared rooms, 4 spots remaining

I’d love to have you. Link in bio to book 🔗

Essence of Stillness, Yoga Retreat, Italy
Sept 10–15, 2026

I’ve created this retreat as a quiet space to slow down, step away from daily life, and reconnect with yourself in a simple, meaningful way.

For five days in the Apennine hills, we’ll move gently through yoga and meditation, spend time in nature, share nourishing meals, and allow things to slow to a more natural rhythm. There will be space to rest, reflect, and simply be without pressure or rushing.

During the week, we’ll also visit a local, award winning vineyard, a slow afternoon to walk the land, learn about the traditions of the area, and taste what the region has to offer.

This retreat is open to all levels. Whether you have a regular practice or are completely new to yoga, you’re very welcome here.

Spaces are limited.
Full details and booking are in the link in my bio.

🕯️St Brigid, Goddess, Saint, and Keeper of the Flame 🕯️

St Brigid holds a unique place in Irish culture as the first Irish woman to be officially recognised and celebrated as a state saint. But long before she was canonised by the Church, Brigid was already deeply woven into the soul of Ireland as an ancient goddess of fire, poetry, healing, fertility, and protection.

She bridges the sacred traditions of preChristian Ireland with the spiritual legacy of early Irish Christianity. In that way, Brigid is not just history but continuity, reminding us that creativity, care, community, and connection to the land have always shaped who we are as Irish people.

For me, Brigid is not only a figure of myth or faith, she is deeply personal. My grandmother is named Brigid, and I was gifted her name as my middle name in her honour. At 94 years old, she is still with us, though her mind has softened with dementia. Even so, she continues to embody everything Brigid represents, love, warmth, generosity, resilience, and an unbreakable sense of community.

Through her, I see that Brigid lives not just in stories or candles, but in real women who care deeply, give freely, and hold others with tenderness.

We can bring more of Brigid into our everyday lives by tending to small flames of kindness, caring for the earth, making space for creativity, and looking after one another with compassion.

Brigid lives wherever light is kept, stories are shared, and love endures.

💫Winter Solstice Ritual Guide 💫

Honoring the Return of Light in Ireland

The Winter Solstice is a sacred pause, the longest night before the light begins to return. In Ireland, this turning point has been honored for thousands of years at places like Newgrange, where the sunrise illuminates the ancient passage tomb, symbolizing rebirth and renewal.

Here’s a gentle ritual you can create at home:

1. Create Your Space

Light a candle to welcome the sun’s return.
Gather holly, ivy, or evergreen sprigs, symbols of resilience and life.

2. Drop Into Stillness

Sit quietly, breathe deeply, and notice the darkness as a space for rest.

Journal with these prompts:

What am I ready to release as the year closes?
What do I want to invite as the light returns?
Which qualities will guide me into the new season?

3. Set Your Intention

Write down one word or phrase that feels true for the months ahead.

Place it under your candle or keep it somewhere you’ll see often.

4. Connect With Nature

Step outside at sunrise or sunset if you can.
Feel the crisp air, notice the light, and honor this turning of the wheel.

5. Close With Gratitude

Whisper thanks for the lessons of darkness and the promise of light.

Sip a warm tea and let this moment nourish you.

If you create this ritual, share your intention below, I’d love to hear how you’re honoring this day.

✨ Harvesting Serenity ✨

I’m so grateful to be able to do this work. Each retreat feeds my soul in the deepest way. I put so much care into creating these spaces, and every time, I’m reminded why.

It’s incredible to witness a group of women arrive on the first day, often carrying stress, fatigue, and the weight of life, and to see the shift by the final morning. Through nourishing food, grounding yoga, lots of yoga nidra, sauna sessions, laughter and some quiet moments, something softens. They leave lighter, more connected, and deeply nourished.

Next up is The Deepening – Winter Yoga Retreat

☀️Still buzzing from Sunday!☀️

Our Yoga on the Beach community came together and raised over €1,000 for a family in Gaza and I couldn’t be more proud or more grateful.

This wasn’t just a fundraiser. It reflected something deeply important to me. For the past seven years, I’ve worked with MSF, and through that experience, I’ve seen how vital it is to stand in solidarity with people facing crisis. Humanitarian work has shaped how I see the world and how I show up in it.

Sunday reminded me that yoga isn’t just about movement or breath. It’s about seva (selfless service), ahimsa (non-harming), and living our values in real, tangible ways. What we did together was a beautiful expression of that.

To everyone who came, donated, shared, and supported thank you. You showed what’s possible when community and purpose come together.

And this is just the beginning. I’m excited to keep building on this energy and exploring more ways we can use this practice to support those who need it most both near and far.

With so much love and gratitude,
Niamh 🙏

After teaching yoga for 7 years, I have learned that how we move off the mat is just as important as how we move on it.

In 2019, after returning from an intensive retreat in India, practicing 3 to 4 hours a day, I came home feeling strong but also carrying the weight of overuse and imbalance in my body. That is when I was introduced to Amatsu therapy.

At first, I did not fully understand it. But session by session, I began to feel subtle shifts, less tension, more ease, and a deeper awareness of how I was using my body. It helped me recover from injury, but more than that, it changed how I move, teach, and listen to my body.

Amatsu has become a quiet but powerful support in my practice. It is not about fixing, it is about remembering how to move well.

I share this because I want others to feel the benefits I have experienced. Whether you are a seasoned yogi or just starting out, this work can help you move with more awareness, balance, and ease.

🌿 Hi everyone, I’m Niamh 🌿

It feels like the right time to reintroduce myself, especially as I step into a new chapter of my journey 🌛

Many of you know me through my yoga offerings, a practice that’s been such a grounding force in my life. Teaching yoga has allowed me to connect deeply with others, hold space, and witness beautiful transformations through breath, movement, and stillness.

But over the past year, something new has been brewing & unfolding…

✨ I’ve been training as an Amatsu therapist, a gentle, holistic Japanese therapy that works with the body’s natural patterns to restore balance and well-being. It’s been a deeply personal and healing experience for me, and I’m now beginning to open up spaces for Amatsu therapy sessions alongside my yoga work.

This feels like a natural extension of what I love most: helping people feel more at home in their bodies.

If you’re curious about Amatsu, or just want to reconnect, I’d love to hear from you 🙏
