Twenty-one years ago, I had the privilege of being part of the last Roscommon Ladies team that won the All-Ireland final.
Looking back now, I realise I didn't truly appreciate how special that day was. It was my first year playing senior county football, and I genuinely believed there would be many more All-Ireland finals to come.
There weren't.
It's only with time and perspective that I've come to understand just how rare and precious those opportunities are.
To the incredible Roscommon ladies taking to the field tomorrow: enjoy every single moment. Enjoy the build-up, the excitement, the nerves, the support from everyone at home, and the celebrations before and afterโregardless of the result.
Take a moment to look around, soak up the atmosphere, and create memories that will stay with you for a lifetime. Days like these don't come around very often, and they deserve to be cherished.
Wishing every player and the entire management team, especially my teammate and friend Ella - keeping all the girls educated and fuelled to the max - the very best of luck in the All-Ireland Final. Roscommon is incredibly proud of you.
