✨ Let’s talk about qualifications for a moment ✨
Every now & then I hear horror stories about people going to “Pilates” classes where instructors are not qualified, and may have done a one day Mickey Mouse course!
This is not a proper qualification!! It is reckless & dangerous! YOU, as the client, have the right to ask your instructor about their qualifications and experience. “Reformer Pilates” classes are a fad and most of the time do not resemble Pilates!
I am always transparent about my qualifications and here they are. Fully comprehensive 600hr Advanced training, followed by many workshops, both in person and online, and most recently a 15mth Postgraduate program to dig deeper in to the “why”.
I will be doing workshops in London & France this summer and will continue to always upskill and improve my knowledge, practice and teaching skills.
Ask questions, be curious and know what you’re paying for. That’s all 😂

Tadaaaa Postgrad finito! Where did the time go! HUGE thank you to Jessy for an amazing 15mths of workshops, classes, privates and non stop support & guidance. Shout out to all the girlos for being by my side through this journey and for providing plenty laughs .adair and to Mark for being my case study 🫡. It has been an unforgettable experience and I’m so grateful for the opportunity to keep learning & growing in both my own practice & teaching. 👩🏻‍🎓📚🎉

Welcome to Powerhouse Pilates South Sligo!
I am thrilled to show you this beautiful little space in Bunnanadden. Now don’t panic! The Ballisodare studio remains open 7 days a week and will continue to do so! This little space just offers me a chance to work from home one day a week to get my work/life balance on track.
I would like to say a HUGE thank you to my husband Tom & his team for all the work they have put in to getting the studio up & running, to Michael for the perfect plastering & Padraic for the flawless painting!

The Sligo Rose Centre are delighted to announce the entrants for the 2026 Sligo Rose Selection.

Rose Number 3 - Emma Sherlock

Emma is a 22-year-old primary school teacher from the beautiful village of Ballisodare in County Sligo. She graduated with a Bachelor of Education from DCU in 2025 and is currently working in a primary school in Dublin.
Emma has a strong interest in sport and fitness, particularly running, Gaelic football, hockey and training in the gym. She plays Gaelic football with her local GAA club, Owenmore Gaels. In addition, she has a real passion for travelling and has been fortunate to visit Australia and Singapore in recent years. Emma hopes to continue exploring new places and cultures in the future.
