I am a mother.
I am a grandmother.

I have loved in seasons
most people never see.

I have held babies
through sleepless nights,
kissed tears from little cheeks,
and prayed silent prayers
over children who never knew
how often I whispered their names to God.

I have watched tiny hands
grow into grown hands.
Watched little feet
walk away into lives of their own.

And somehow,
love kept growing anyway.

Now I hold grandchildren
with the same heart
that once held their parents.

Only softer now.
Wiser now.
More aware
of how quickly the years disappear.

I no longer rush through the moments.
I savor them.

The pancake breakfasts.
The bedtime stories.
The tiny arms around my neck.
The sound of laughter in the house again.

Because I know
these little years never stay little.

I am a mother.
I am a grandmother.

And what a sacred privilege it is
to love through generations.

To watch the family you once built
continue blooming around you.

My hands may look older now,
but they still know how to comfort.
My heart still knows how to nurture.
And my love still reaches
across every generation gathered around my table.

And if I leave anything behind in this life,
I hope it is this—

that my family always felt loved.
